Ready For Visa - Prêt Pour Visa (Email Received)

Hello Folks,

I received an email from CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca today and they've asked me to send the passport for the visa.

1. I have an Indian passport and want to confirm that I have to send the passport and not just a copy of the biometric page?

2. Does anyone know how long this process takes from the time I send the passport? I will be sending it from Toronto.

3. I am travelling for vacation on 25th December to country where I have to apply for visa. That process itself takes 15 days. Do you think I have enough time to have both of them out of the way. Or if I should cancel my vacation.

2. I would say give it anywhere between 10 days to 4 weeks. Ideally, it doesn't take 4 weeks but just to be on the safer side.
