@can_visa123: I hope you find all threads of this forum helpful.

Well, if anyone knows, where is the VO for applicants in Canada?

As I checked the list on CIC website, there is no mention about Canada VO while we understand that CIC and VO check-lists differ from each other.

So how about those who are currently in Canada and want to apply for immigration?
regards...

Latest update:
Finally, on 22/March/2011 "CIO document Checklist" has been modified :D

Regards,
Dr.Hasib

I submitted Aug 2010 and was luckly to catch a new CIC form just a few days before sending package. If not then I might have been rejected!!

Lesson: Keep checking ALL forms for any updates [check the guides too] and recheck the day before your send out. Then use the fastest courier to minimise the "window" when another change of form happens.

Regards

Hi Hasib,

What is the main update in it ?

CIO just corrected the validity period of IELTS from 1 year to 2 years in "CIO document checklist" form

Seems things are moving a bit faster as June 2011 is approaching.!

My application was submitted around 1st week of March, CC was charged on 9th March and just an hour ago, I got my 1st PER that indicates my UCI and Application no....I guess it took 40 days to reach this far.

Also it's mentioned that my application will be forwarded to a VO for further processing.

@Dr. Hasib,
what does this UCI stands for and then for further correspondence with VO, shall one use UCI or Application *E00......... no.?
And, whats next??

regards

Dear Mr. Rana..

Congrats for your PER.

Yes CIO is very fast.

UCI : Client Identification number.

I advise you to use both when you want to contact VO. Next step is in Approx. 15-20 days you will get 2nd AOR letter...then next 10-15 days ...In Process...you will get Medical request.

Good Luck.

Regards,
Mayank

Dear Mayank,
Many thanks for you wishes and information. I've few more things to clarify and I hope you'd help me.

Actually I didn't submit PCC along with application and this fact has been haunting me since beginning....timeline.!!

Since I require PCC from 3 countries and I am afraid that the submission time given by my VO to submit PCC and medicals might not be enough. E.g. VO asks me to submit all remaining doc. say with in 30-35 days and if PCC takes more than 1 month, I miss the submission deadline.

So leaving Medicals aside, would you advice me that since PCC is valid for 3 months, when shall I better apply for PCC in advance, before VO requests me so that as soon as VO asks, Ive them handy? Say after 2-3 weeks from now??

So in short, in your experience, when is the right time to apply for PCC in advance and apart from PCC and medicals, is there anything else to prepare?

thanks in advance
regards

Dear Mr. Rana,

No need to worry for PCC.

But yes you are right ..VO will give 45 days for Medical & PCC submission.

So i advise you to apply for PCC as soon as your e-cas changed to RBVO . Becouse will ask for all after RBVO & that will also after 10-15 days of 2nd AOR letter. so better to apply as soon as your status changed to RBVO.

hope this will help.

Regards,
Mayank

Dear Mayank,

Believe me but your reply has been a big direction to plan...seems you are well informed and highly structured in your approach.

I'll follow your golden advice to apply for PCC as soon as my status changes to RBVO and u' get +1 for that.
I also need to know:
- If this RBVO (E-cas status) happens always after 2nd AOR or it can be earlier or anytime after PER?
- 2nd AOR--> by VO or CIO?? by e-mail or letter?

Rest, I'd sound novice but can't help myself to ask you the full form of RBVO? Is this same as "In Process"?

regards
Rana

Dear Rana,

First of thanks for your +1 to me.

Let me give you reply in detail.

RBVO : Received by Visa Office.

As you got PER . You e-cas must be CIO-ER ( Eligibility review complete).

This will changed to RBVO within 15-20 days max from your PER date. I think your VO is also New Delhi ..Right ?

After that you will received 2nd AOR letter via ordinary post from VO. If all the things are on track then again count 20 days max from your 2nd AOR date ...to get Medical Call ...at this time e-cas changed to In process.

So you must apply for PCC as soon as your e-cas changed to RBVO .

Hope this help..

Regards,
Mayank

Thanks Mayank again..!!

My VO is Singapore and as I checked my e-cas status, it's still "Application Received".
Since I got my PER just 2 days ago, I guess my status would be changed/updated soon at CIC website.

Rest regarding applying for PCC, I guess I'd do it in between RBVO & 2nd AOR...say a week after RBVO.

Also one person suggested me that to remove this risk, I better apply & SUBMIT my PCC and as soon as my status changes to RBVO, BEFORE it's asked by VO---> What do you say regarding this way?

- And how does this medical call made? Is it also by ordinary post or e-mail?

regards
Rana

CONGRATZ Rana,
Good to hear your progress. Pretty fast response you received.
The Med request come by regular post from VO. That's what I read in this forum ( at least for ND applicants).
AS for PCC I am also in the same boat, my status recently changed to IN PROCESS. I am not sure if they ask me to re-submit PCC then what would I do since I need to obtain at least three for myself and 2 for my wife ( Among them 4 are form different countries :-\) which will take much longer than the time provided ( 60 days ?) by VO.
Although , I submitted PCCs with my application , some of the PCC were old but I explained in note that I havent visited those copuntries since I received the PCCs. I also emailed to my local VO and asked them can I send the old PCC with my application package or should I obtain new one...they suggested me to send old one since I haven't visited those countries after PCCs are issued ( I attached that email with my application when I sent it to CIC).
But fingers crossed at the moment..I am not sure the local VO will again ask for new one or not. You never know.
I suggest you can start teh process to obtain your PCC when your status is RBVO...if the PCC is little old then you can always explain by a note that it was difficult to maintain time due to uncertain Govt. process timings for issuing PCC. I think they will understand. For the country you are residing at the moment, you can get an up to dated one in due time I hope.

I pray you will get your maple leaf seal pretty soon.

Cheers,
Zahed
