Hello Friends,

I am curious to know how much time can a Visa office keep the passports with them. Its been 14days including today that I sent.
A CSE is sent and as we know it may take time for a reply to come.

HI guys ,


Finally i got some update from Sydney australia VO. I raised a CSE 10 days ago and i got a email today requesting India and Australia PCC and Australia's Traffic history for me and my spouse. It also says to show funds again

"It says to show Funds in Australian Account from Offshore to an Australian term deposit so that the visa officer may be further satisfied the funds are unencombered and yours for use at settlement in canada"


we had shown funds from India and not australia. Can anyone please guide me how should we go about it.?


Please help.

It seems pretty clear....U need to transfer the funds to ur Australian Bank A/c....

My file was submitted on the 17th December, 2014. I reside in the UK.

I still have not heard anything. Looking at the timeline of other applicants, it seems everyone is receiving their meds within few months of application being submitted.

Anyone else in the same boat ?
Any Suggestions as to what is going on with my file ? all comments welcome

What was your chosen mode of payment?
Credit Card or Demand Draft.

In either case, has it been charged?
If it has been charged, they must have sent you an email related to Positive Eligibility Result (PER).
Please see if this email somehow landed in your junk folder.

If you have not been charged, it is very likely that your application was not selected.
In that case, CIC would have mailed back your documents.

In either case, you can raise an enquiry with CIC for further details.

While enjoying Canada day Cheesy, can anyone help please.

I got MR from Ottawa last Thursday,
(1) no RPRF nor second line, is this normal?
(2) I haven't sent my PCC, should I send it now or wait for them to ask me to send it?
(3) Getting MR means I passed background check? (of course not criminality).

Yes of course it is ..Rembr u were worried abt no updates from the VO a few days back....

Some VOs don't ask for PCC + Medicals together...as long as they ask for docs, u can be assured that they r working on ur file and hence provide them ASAP with wat they want....

Asking for POF mite mean they are a little suspicious abt ur Funds (as in they want to double-check if they are borrowed or not), so if possible include some docs about Source (say like Transfer transaction from ur Indian Bank A/c owned by you to ur Australian Bank A/c)..Good luck!!

1. Yes, it is okay. Second line should appear in couple of days.
2. Upto you. I sent them without them asking me.
3. Yes, but it is no guarantee they wont do further checks. Its totally upto Visa office to decide what they want to check and when. But yeah, getting MR means you are almost there. )

Thank god its a positive sign. I hope medical follows.. I reckon they are asking the funds again because maybe i have showed fund of my father in law and mother in law and husband all combined. So I am going to get all these funds in my bank account now and we are gonna make sure that we sent all these documents asap.

Possible, because only the money which is in accounts of either primary applicant of the spouse is considered.
Funds in account of parents, in laws or relatives cannot be shown as a proof.

I need to ask, if one delivers a baby just two months before landing deadline date.. Is it ok or can it delay landing in case the baby doesn't get a visa quickly..


Please anyone who had to add their babies after they got visa stamped, how long did it take for the baby to get a visa?
