Still no Second line update on ECAS !!! Anybody with same situation??

I am 11 Aug applicant and got 2nd line update on 22 March.....Don't loose hope...you will receive it shortly.

short question, i'm about to send my newborn docs to VO..I just want to make sure if the birth certificate is already in 2 languages (my native language + english), do we have to notarized it again?

Photocopies have to be Notarized.....No need for Translation though.....

1. Now when my passport request comes .. then where would I be sending my passport?

After visa stamping and before going to canada can I visit any other country like Singapore/Thailand/Dubai??

Yes you can.....No issues....Just take visa of that country

You should immediately call CIC Call Canter to check the status of your application....The no. is +1 613 944 4000

I don't think that should be an issue except if you visit countries that are on the alert in their system.

I called my consultant today and they said that many "delayed" applicants are not getting interviews. Anyone here who's recd one? Or are my consultants bluffing again!

Your consultant is right. First IO working on your application may have few concerns, so what he does is passes your application to senior IO. Review from senior IO can take some time, if he think some concerns which cannot be solved by asking for additional documents then only he will call your interview. If everything looks ok to senior IO then he will issue MR. Nothing to worry about for sure.

No idea. I have processed through a local immigration consultant who in turn works for through a ICCRC approved lawyer. All the communication details, except my address were filled of that lawyer.

Why don't you ask your lawyer then ? As he is your representative(if I am not wrong) then he will receive all communication from CIC not you. So he might already have your PER/File no sitting with him but haven't forwarded that to you.

So I can still expect an interview? I am OK with the same, just want to move ahead with the app now Its been 10 months since I applied!

Had a word with lawyer, but he said that its still pending and they are also waiting for a reply from CIC.
