You're lucky these charges were not outside of Canada, he would be inadmissable to Canada for at least 5 years.

I can guarantee you it is not going to be 3 business days. It is referring to preliminary check that is no more than a search from their data base. For Fingerprint, it takes 2-3 weeks. I am currently waiting for it and this is the third week.

Yes, as per that link 3 business days if you don't have a fingerprint match. If you do its 120 days.

So I just did mine at Commissionaires (Downtown Toronto) this morning. It was pretty easy and the technicians are very knowledgeable about the process.

It was $45 ($40 + tax).

It takes 20 mins person, regardless of their application. So if you are planning to drop in, please do so in the morning. Lunch hour gets crowded and it only takes a few people in line to waste your whole day.

They will need your ID and the actual request letter sent by CIC. You will have a chance to double check everything before going forward.

Hi, you got a criminal record check only? Not Vulnerable sector check?

According to RCMP website, as your son has a fingerprint match (because he has a record) his PCC will take about 120 days. You may need to contact cic and ask for an extension.

We got a call today saying that the applies completed yesterday and will be sent out to our address.

Good news! As long as CIC are aware of his past charges you should not have any more issues

It's not a good idea to put your number on a public forum. Plus I'm not an expert in criminal issues.

You're also lacking a 'please' in that sentence.
