Sorry to hear about you having to head back raven00090. I may have to as well in a couple of months. I hope us CEC applicants who've been hard done by the recent increase in scores have a turn of luck by the end of the year at least.

I wanted to ask if you made any changes to your EE profile? I was wondering since my PGWP expired on Aug 4 and I've applied for an open work permit ext. I did stop working as of Aug 4 to be on the safe side, would i need to update my EE profile with that info?
And as a CEC applicant without a valid job to show that I can sustain myself in the country now, is there another way to apply for PR without having to show POF? or showing POF the only option without a valid job?

Hey Mike, thanks, I hope so too. As for EE, yes if you can, do update it, or it will go on as continued employment. As for another way for PR, I don't think there is, other than PNP which for Ontario has yet to open, but yeah even there, POF is important. And that is my single biggest issue too. I am simply not going to be able to show POF of 12000 CAD. And since we cannot get a loan of that amount to show, that is not an option for me at all. Even if I think of getting a job in India, it is a tall order to make anywhere near that amount in a very short period of time which is less than 5 months.

In case anyone reads this and wonders why after having work here I can't do that, that's because I basically cleaned my entire bank account here to pay away student loans entirely. So your situation might be different and in case you can afford to show that amount of money that does wholly belong to you, more power to you.

With 714 candidates being invited to apply for immigration to Manitoba and around 600 for British Columbia, will it affect CRS score in the upcoming draws?
Share your thoughts please.

Not sure about BC to for manitoba these invitees need to now apply for and be approved for pnp. The process takes around three months at least assuming the invitees send in their applications right away. These people arentry actually nominees yet so no 600 points

Thanks butterflychemist. Seems they'll be a candidate in the future. Seems even having a score of 478 is not enough. Thinking to get in to PNP program. Gonna cost more but oh well. CRS score are way high up. Frustrating.

Guys read this link http://www.oopnp.com/2016/08/25/cic-41st-draw-was-cec-lmia-french-speaking-specific-fsw-draws-coming-in-september/

"The next draws 42nd to 48th draws are expected to remain in the score range of 475-540 and both FSW and CEC candidates are expected to be cleared with each draw inviting close to 1000 candidates."

if this is the case am sitting at 451 and i lost all hope for ITA ... God save me

I don't know about the credibility of this website. It is still not IRCC. Only time will tell what actually ends up happening.

raven bro do i have any chance this year of ITA with 451..that article really making me feel miserable..

Don't let some third party source make you feel miserable. What is their credibility. It's just a website that says "we know this guy who says"...How can we trust that? These things change even draw to draw. There is NO certainty of what the upcoming score will be. Just look at all the "predictions" for the previous draw and how wrong they were. Because guesswork is just guesswork.

I know hope can seem like such a dangerous thing to hold on to, but with good reason you have to. Above 450 isn't bad. Try PNPs if you can. See if there is a requirement of settlement funds for PNPs in your province and if you have $12,000 or so then go with PNP in case that requirement is in place, like it is for Ontario's Human Capital stream. If you have not gotten near max IELTS, then try increasing IELTS.

Still a ray of hope somewhere for us sitting on scores which were considered good enough.

I think they will just repeat the changes from the Refocusing of EE presentation slide.

But still everyone in our group can message Kamal khera with their queries

May be we can get the answer from john mccallum regarding our questions

As discussed we can believe what mccallum says rather then believing on random website

Realistically, its going to take time to make changes as they need to pass the proposal in the house and agreed upon by majority before bill gets implemented. it might take couple of months or more. But they can start issuing more ITAs and that will help in lowering cut offs.

Hi, raven..i just wonder if we could change to visitor while waiting for ITA right? Or leaving is the only way?
If so, what we need to apply for a restoration as visitor? And how long does it take for that processing?
Thanks bro..
