You might as well change your display name then :-X

My friend took 6.5 yrs to get his PR pre-EE (family class) - he finally arrived into Canada last year after living at his mums house for 6.5 yrs (he's nearly 40 yrs old) because he could be coming to Canada any moment - didn't take jobs on, didn't take girlfriends on etc etc

So things can really always be worse

Wow.... he wasted 6.5 years.... Canada is a part of life not a heart of life..... i think i would have opted something else if i was at his place........... but still God bless him and everyone

He loves snowboarding.... he just kept himself busy with skateboarding while he waited

Also he has family here, and every day he woke up could have been the day the PR was finally issued.... I bet you'd also be struggling to just give up when tomorrow might be the day your PR was finally issued :)

The primary reason why I just plain dislike guessing on my part, or even entertaining guesses is because by nature, guesses are, well, just a mental shot in the dark with hardly any evidence backing it. Sometimes we think we see patterns but there might just be none there.

What if one were to tell us that ITAs are entirely at...."Ministerial discretion" so the minister says "Okay, set the score for this month to be 470 and send only 900 people invitations".

By the way, there is a web show called "MKS law show" that I follow and watch on YouTube. It is by the lawyers Maynard Kischer Stojicevic in BC. And in yesterday's episode, they talk to the host about Express Entry. You will like it. I enjoy watching their episodes and their insights into the system. Here is the episode and they begin talking about Express Entry after 2 minutes.

We'll find out tonight if CIC will remain strict on the ITAs hehe

^ There, they talk about the limitations and unfairness of Express Entry and speak from their client files and personal career experiences since this whole EE thing began.

Guys I feel your pain! Especially intl students because I was one too!

FSW applicants got nothing to lose if they cannot make it to Canada. Their life was never based on this country anyway! But for those who studied, worked, probably married and lived in Canada for about half a decade, to waste their PGWP and lose their Canadian life as a result of the ridiculous reduction in ITA, is a tremendous blow too hard to take.

I just posted on John McCallum's Facebook and Twitter regarding this issue. You guys with 1 year of Canadian working experience should have been qualified for CEC prior to the introduction of EE. The abrupt reduction in ITA without other policies to cover the gap it created this problem for you intl students.

So please make sure your voice is heard! Post this issue to JM's and other Liberals' pages, also maybe reach to your local MP's office to raise your concern. If CEC is one of the rules, the current EE system apparently does not play with it!

Just to add, in that link I posted, they discuss the proposal put forth in the link posted by JALT.

Guessing with observation

They have almost completed sending AOR and started with nomination process too for November applicants. They will not wait for many applicants to get nomination and incorporate some with increasing Draw. They will clear some in pool before hundreds of nominations are given. They will gradually increase up to 2000 ITA but today the beginning of increase will be watchful. High time to see some changes. After all temporary pause has to be temporary.

I guess 900 ITA CRS below 475

But what if that change does not come today and happens in the September draws? That could happen too. Assuming that all of that is true.
