It is what it is, FSW will restart when things improve here, that i'm certain of but for this year it seems unlikely maybe just a token draw at the end of the year as you said.

Not right now. But if FSWs are officially stopped, then there's nothing stopping them from increasing the cutoffs for PNPs. PNP cutoffs are artificially low to keep them below expected all program draw cutoffs. If FSWs aren't stopped, they'll (obviously) eventually resume. But honestly never thought having a high score would be a bad thing haha

Yeah, candidates above 467 are missing out on OINP invites but that is giving chance to low scorers a chance at ITA who never would have gotten direct invitation anyway.

They will be 'renewed' and you will not be required to restart the process. I believe IRCC will contact those with expired CoPRs once travel restrictions are lifted. This was announced long ago, I'm trying to find a link.

Yes, IRCC emailed me to remind me NOT to attempt to travel to Canada right now. They also mentioned that they would extend my COPR and reassured that I would not go through the application process again.

"I would like to suggest that CIC also focuses on processing Express Entry Foreign Inland (EE FWS-Inland) applications. Many applicants, such as me, are physically present in Canada and waiting for more than 6 months since the Acknowledgment Of Receipt (AOR).

I can understand that Canada is "working at full capacity" to process the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) application because of the impact caused by COVID-19. But I cannot understand why EE FWS-Inland applications are being processed with limited capacity as the applicants are here in Canada.

In my application, the eligibility was considered as "passed" since last December. Since then, I feel in Limbo."

It is terrible the feeling to have applied for EE in the FSW-Inland stream. If I had waited for 2 months more, my wife would be eligible for the CEC. Also, such as other people in this group, I would be eligible for the new immigration program as well.

I hope that more people in the same situation can do the same and raise similar complaint/suggestion to CIC.

You can still land if you travel to the US first. Direct fly to Canada is difficult because they won't let you board the plane.

Well, I will have to see how to obtain the US tourist visa first. Not sure if “to travel to Canada” is a good reason.

From the US you don't need AL. People can even do soft landing without quarantine.

i am one of them in Nova Scotia. My CRS score is 488, and I've been waiting FSW-O draws for several months. Just received a LOI from NS. Do you think the process will also be around 1year or more...because of my outlander's profile? Instead of 6-9 months? This is my first post, and did not manage to find the NS PNP topic. Maybe not existing yet?

There is no 6 month processing time anymore. July is a pretty optimistic estimate.
Canada surpassed U.S. in number of new COVID cases relative to population and Canada has very low vaccination rate.

I said that because, what is the reason for not conducting draws when there is no deadline? They can give out ITAs and not process applications for 5 years if they want.

From what I surmise, the only reason for not conducting draws is to minimize the time it takes to process applications.
