Good luck to all of you.
There are two IELTS results following - in 13th and 20th. So the draw on 25th will be of higher closing, around 451-452.
For people around 440, today’s draw is a good chance. After this the cut off CRS shall be high for another 2-3 weeks..

Hello Everyone,

I've recently been nominated by OINP and expecting the ITA in next draw. There are few points regarding documentation that I need to confirm, hope you all would help :-
  • Should I obtain a new reference letter for my current job as it is almost 5 month's old now? For all previous jobs; the letters submitted to OINP could be reused?
  • Updated bank certificate is required or the one submitted to OINP would suffice? as it is not 6 months old yet
  • how much time does it take to obtain PCC for India?
  • Mostly all documents that I'd submitted for OINP could be reused, like LoEs, digital photo etc?
Please feel free to add any other document that needs to be obtained specifically for post-ITA process and not submitted for OINP.

Thanks!
-Letter of reference is not a bank statement yaar, that has to be renewed every 6 months :D
-Yes plz... This letter should be dated close to the application submission date...
-where are you based in India, US, Canada or some where else? CGi Toronto thru BLS issued it in a week or max 2 weeks. you can do a walk in to CGI Toronto directly to get the PCC on the same day: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/information-get-indian-pcc-in-one-day-canada-only.469878/
-Yeah...(unless you have lost all your hair waiting for the OINP nomination, then the photo will need to be current one) :)

2 Ielts results wont push the scores that high. There are people who score higher but the number is not that high. So relax. A 3 week draw can do the trick though.

IMO, 451 - 452 is way too high. I don't think everyone who took those IELTS tests would end up with CLB 9+.

CIC should allocate at least 25% of their biweekly ita quotas for a lottery with people sitting in the range of 431-439, in that way they will be able to get a diversified candidates from the pool as they said earlier to dig deep into the pool.

It is very intimidating to watch the cutoff hovering in the 440+ zone for the last eight months for 430's with PNP has also become very strict these days,OINP for example.

Cic should remove age discrimination first. Absolutely criminal that a 40 yr old has no chance right now even with masters, perfect ielts and 15 yr exp.

they should also remove the certification discrimination too. Someone with bachelors and masters done from outside of Canada has the same chance of securing a job in Canada, in short Masters applicants doesn't give Canada any bigger advantages that a Bachelors wouldn't or cannot give.

My theory is a little different concerning age. I believe it is perfectly fine for CIC to allocate lesser marks for the different age slots, having said that they should also add more points to a person having more experience. In that way, an aged person even if he is losing points in age would be able to compensate it with his experience. I believe in reality, Experience will add more human capital attribute to Canada than having an overseas Masters.

If they can add the above proposition in their system it will be more advanced and more fruitful for them.
