Hello,
i am living here in canada i came as a student and now i am on PGWP expring very soon. i have quick question. i am married and she is in back home. when i entry my details in EE i socre 455 points stating that my wife does not want to come to canada. my question is can i do this? when i enter that she will accomapny me my score goes to 420 points which is very low
Will i be able to sponser my wife as soon as i get my PR? is this the right way to do it?
Hi,

Yes, you can do this, but I would not advise this as the sponsorship route can be a long and difficult one. I would rather find a way to increase our score as a couple. eg - if she takes IELTS that can add up to 20 points to your score which takes you up to 440 in a couple of months as opposed to sponsorship that takes years.

Also note that most of the requirements are the same whether the spouse is accompanying or not. eg- medicals, PCC and POF.

That's my take.

Hey Tanaka,

Can you please advise one thing. If I have two closely related NOC's (One is GP 6 months and Specialist Physician) 2 Year 11 Months 20 Days how this will get counted. Will it be 2 years 11 months 20 days or 3 years or more.

Looking forward to your professional response.

Thanks in advance

Got my IELTS result today, will create my EE profile tomorrow. Any pointers plz
Thanku
I got my result on Friday and while creating EE profile, it asks me TRF# which comes in ielts report. Hence I am waiting for my report to arrive sadly. Even though I know I am way ahead of cut off, I am not able to submit the application as I am not having TRF #.

TRF number is available on online report as well, towards the bottom of the report.

Hi,

2yrs 11mnths 20days is less than 3 years, so the system may give you 3 years but your application will be rejected during the eligibility assessment.
You will therefore need to claim points for both NOCs which will give you 3years 5 months.

Alternatively, just wait 11 days and then create your profile with 1 NOC.
