Of course there is a chance.Any chances for the draw today???
I'd think so....Hey i have a query. You say that siblimg has to be there for eApr. Actually my sister has a PR.shes even been to canada post her PR. While i am claiming her points but she will be in my country for couple of Months. This means she will be here while they assess my documents. So is that of a concern to CIC?. Plz help.
I see your point; but changing between IDP/BC won't work. I'm saying this from my personal experience because I have given IELTS 3 times through IDP with writing always stuck at 6.5. It doesn't matter who you choose to give the exam from but what matters is your writing proficiency. Work on that. All the best!Hi. I have taken British council IELTS on May and I have failed by just 0.5 points. L- 8.5, R-8, S- 7, W- 6.5. I am going retake the exam but I have heard from previous applicants that they were not able increase their writing score from 6.5 even after they retaken the test. I also heard that IDP scoring is more lenient considering BC. If it's true, I want to try for IDP. I want to the senior members opinion on this.
It's kind of funny to me that CIC thinks a sibling helps. Maybe if you aren't married it does. But my husband and I move around with little regard to other family members. The only concern we are having is taking care of our aging parents if we aren't close by!I'd think so....
Why additional points are issued is because cic believes a sibling living in Canada will help you succeed in integrating urself into the canadain economy/ society quickly....and if ur sibling isn't there in Canada at the time of eAPR,how cic would believe that he or she shall return to Canada to help you out in ur struggle as a new immigrant...as a pr holder, they are obliged to stay only for 2 years out of five years from the date of PR,so as to retain PR...so,cic could very well imagine a scenario where your sister decides to stay back in India for another couple of years, before returning in 3rd / 4th year...thus,giving you additional points for a sibling who is a pr holder, but not of any actual help to you in ur settling down will beat the purpose of granting additional points on her behalf...
till eAPR is what they look for...thereafter they leave it to the applicant & sibling...they understand the life is so dynamic & people may have to choose what is best for them and wouldn't mind it...however,to be eligible for the additional points, this is a safety check they can keep to be fair to the objective of the new amendment that brought in the change...
...don't tell me you move around just to run away from them....It's kind of funny to me that CIC thinks a sibling helps. Maybe if you aren't married it does. But my husband and I move around with little regard to other family members. The only concern we are having is taking care of our aging parents if we aren't close by!
bang on point....!!!I see your point; but changing between IDP/BC won't work.
