So it's 7:47 AM in Ottawa. Get ready for the Refresh party! :) CIC may surprise us today with 3 draws in a row. Hope there will be more ITAs as of today and Drawing could be back to its normal number of ITA. ;) When I remember there is F5 party, my fingers are like this :eek::eek:

PS: dear @AlliBatista are you ready to create another ROH (71th), don't sleep my friend. Since you create all those ROH, draw happens frequently, so hope your fingers bring a magic this time as well :D:p

I have come up with the prediction for the 70th draw.

If it happens on:
Aug 16 - CRS 426 - ITAs 3000
Aug 17 - CRS 427 - ITAs 3000
Aug 18 - CRS 428 - ITAs 3000

The variance in the above calculation is +/- 1 CRS.

Please find below the CRS cut off on each date (in case the number of ITAs issued is more/less than 3000):

Hello our Prediction Master! :) Thank you, we were waiting for you! :)

Yes it's hard. Newbies coming in with score that I will never be able to obtain. And then only to see them take the ITA then decline it
The reason newbies have to decline their ITAs is because they receive it too soon on the basis of their high score. They haven't spent any time reading or researching while waiting for ITA and are unfortunately not ready with their paperwork.

I spent nearly a year in the pool and while the wait was torturous, I had ample time to get my documents in order. As a result I could submit my application sooner.

Look on the bright side and keep all your paperwork ready. You'll get your ITA sooner or later.

Best of luck.

My personal point of annoyance is when they criticize CIC. CIC are the people that are enabling us to pursue our Canadian dream. I'd rather send them chocolates than negative words, lol.
The overly impatient ones annoy me the most ;) Why is it so hard to understand that application processes have their own timelines and theirs is not the only application CIC is processing?

Hi. I have taken British council IELTS on May and I have failed by just 0.5 points. L- 8.5, R-8, S- 7, W- 6.5. I am going retake the exam but I have heard from previous applicants that they were not able increase their writing score from 6.5 even after they retaken the test. I also heard that IDP scoring is more lenient considering BC. If it's true, I want to try for IDP. I want to the senior members opinion on this.

I am not a senior member on this forum. But IDP and BC, both have the same set of standards and guidelines. As far as I know, they would also use the same set of questions on the day of exam. So, it doesn't matter whether you go through BC or IDP. It's all the same.
Instead you can prepare well before shelling out money for the exam

I've took a test on July 09 and fill a complaint about it. They offered me a new test for free. I took the test on July 29. By chance I got the exact same questions on speaking and as I got 7.5 for the previous test I gave more or less same answers. However I've received 6.5! Of course I submit a revaluation this week.

Many people told me that they increased their results up to 1.5 points by submitting a revaluation request. Now I'm gonna speculate a little bit, while the British Council headquarters at UK doing a much more flexible evaluation, local test centers using strict methods to increase the number of retakes in order to increase their share of exam fees. Unfortunately we're highly dependent on IELTS and maybe Canada needs to bring other options in to the table.

In Writing section, you can go for re-evaluation if you are confident. I was pretty much confident and filed for re-evaluation and got the positive result. Though the chances are very less, but if you get a .5 higher your money for the re-evaluation will be refunded. I would suggest to go for a re-evaluation first. Wait for the result. It will take 4-5 weeks. And if you do not succeed, go for the exam again. Rest choice is yours.

OK so am ready with my analysis of number crunching & my prediction ....Here goes ......

If there is a draw today which i feel is highly likely then the scores would be following :-

ITA's issued between 2900-3100 - Score would be 428

ITA's issued between 3100-3200 - Score would be 427

The reason for the drop of only 5 points mentioned above even though it would constitute a back to back draw is that last Friday saw an IELTS result being released which was not the case in the draw of 9th Aug hence we could end up seeing a high influx of new candidates with high scores during this week .

ALL IN ALL....MY STRONG GUT FEEL & NUMBER ANALYSIS MAKES ME FEEL 428 WILL BE THE SCORE TODAY...NOT MORE NOT LESS !
Sound logic! I hope it will be a lower cut off than 428, but I will still be happy with whatever cut off, so long as there is a draw today. :)
