Is there a possibility of the Ontario Provincial Nomination closing. I haven't applied yet hoping to get an ITA without it. I am at 419. A little far farfetched I know, but it has happened before. Didn't know the window is closing, maybe I should apply as well.

From my understanding there is a limit of Ontario nominations that will be allowed before they stop accepting for 2017

When I applied for OINP I had had money in my account for only 2 months. I provided gift deed and letter of explanation. It worked and I received nomination. I would suggest to apply for OINP not waiting for your funds to get 6 months old.

Applications submitted before 5th july have moved to assessment and DIP stage ,so its the same 14-15 day window

I am talking about those after 5th July submissions, as I've mentioned in the OINP thread. Hopefully, by end of this week their status will change to Assessment.

You can receive the money as a gift however you need a gift deed notarized by a lawyer saying it's a gift and you are not required to pay it back etc etc..

even notarizing is not needed. signed self-declaration is sufficient.

awesome thanks. I think the Masters stream is already closed so most of those will be for HCS which is good.

Good to know.

I know a few lawyers who will notarize for cheap though so I think I'll just do that to be extra sure. Don't want something easily avoidable causing any issues

If its taking long for them to move OINp files. Should i wait for 2-3 draws?. I guess i can save 1500 CAD And few months too. What do you suggest?

It's your call. But if I were you, with your CRS, I'd rather wait for a direct ITA.
