So today is Canada Multiculturalism Day? How about celebrating the day inviting a few foreigners over? I can honestly see it as a possibility
Thanks for the info...If you were to rent a 2 b condo you're rent would be aeound 1100-1400 $
Hydro(electricity-power) depends on your usage but nirmally for ana avergae householf it ranges between 50-70$
Water is sometimes included in rent or else its around the same as hydro
You could get a decent car for $5000-$12000 ( you could get really cheap ones for around $2000 ). I purchased my 2012 ford focus titanium for 10999 and I pay $198/month for a 5 year term. Food might cost you about $200-300(family of 3-4) a month if you cook or $500 if you do take out.
Average Home price $500,000 ? depends upon what you consider as home.. Average price for a Condo ( apartment ) for 2 bedroom is 300,000 ,Forgot about internet. Another minor expense. Looking around $100-150 including home telephone, cable and internet !
If you were to buy a house or condo, your mortgage would $400 for every $100,000.
That means if you were to buy a $500,000 house ( average home price in GTA ) your mortgage wpukd be 400×5 =$2000 approx.
What is the cost of a shack by the sea??Average Home price $500,000 ? depends upon what you consider as home.. Average price for a Condo ( apartment ) for 2 bedroom is 300,000 ,
Townhomes row of 5 houses with 3 bedrooms are $600,000 , semi-detached two houses side by side.. $750,000 , single houses starting from $900,000 and goods ones goes to 1.1 million plus.. ( = comparing 200,000 in US )
i lived in US mid-west 2 hrs away from Chicago.. average home price was $200,000 for a single detached with lots of space around.. with the prices in GTA , home buying is a dream for me.. i am renting 3 bedroom town home for $1800 , same house if i buy i have to pay mortgage and condo fees & insurance of about $2800. i am finding cost of living is 30% more than US.
I'm looking at Ottawa for my landing and from what I've been able to research you can get very nice options around the $600k mark.. I'd rather commute further as I also usually work from home often so it helps with house pricesAverage Home price $500,000 ? depends upon what you consider as home.. From what i gathered (as per locals) if you happen to drink 4+ pints in one sitting, that's binge drinking. Believe me 4+ pints is nothing for an Irish lol. I actually never bothered to find a technical definition to be honest. Decent average middle class Irish, they love wine (red only for me though). Among teens, 20's and up until mid 30's (mostly single) that will be beer, Guinness, Heineken, Budweiser(my fav), Dutch Gold, Canadian, Foster basically every brand available. But boy o boy the junkies, they would spend most of their welfare money on beer or cider. As for spirits, rum is popular, most popular one is Captain Morgan, whiskey would be Jameson, scotch not as popular as Jameson, They would mix coke or an orange juice mostly for rum and with whiskey coke is a norm. Miss all them parties and good timesBrings me to question you, and I know you'll be thrilled to answer. Everyone takes pride in their drinking, lol.
How much amount, in mltrs or ltrs, would qualify as "binge" drinking?
And is the drinking supposed to be on the rocks, water, or pure neat?
@444,you are likely to get an insight into the eAPR & further, ahead of many others on this thread....and many will be there on hope 67& 68....and it doesn't end there at all...Well, I can see people here are really knowledgeable with respect to the procedures and other aspects.
But, nevertheless, I can try and help others here and outside as well, if I can.
Really grateful to you for the knowledge you passed on.
Thanks.
consider 30-35% tax rate..Thanks for the info...
So I will need a 3 bed at least going to round up to $1600?
Need 2 cars but don't care if they aren't fancy so $350 combined?
I love cooking but also love beer so maybe $700 for food
Hydro all in $100
Internet, need for speed, $80?
All in $2290
Honestly sounds too good to be true as I'm looking at an annual of $90-$120k
I hope it's true though
ok, i was mentioning GTA ( Greater Toronto Area) i wish i have my office in Montreal or Ottawa.. yes definitely home prices are cheap compared to GTA..I'm looking at Ottawa for my landing and from what I've been able to research you can get very nice options around the $600k mark.. we've a Yukon meet year after year with kingKurly sponsoring booze every year with his 1% share from Google EU fine...and another few decades to catch up and say hi....
When I visit Delhi, I go to a place called "The Beer Cafe" in Connaught Place. I always drink 2 pitchers of Kingfisher Draught Beer. 2 pitchers, I reckon, is about 3 litres (about 9 pints). Honestly, I don't buy your 4 pints of "binge" drinking. You must be kidding!!From what i gathered (as per locals) if you happen to drink 4+ pints in one sitting, that's binge drinking.
