That is the point of the exam. To test your hearing ability. Once you know all of the options for the answers and the meaning of the questions, you have to listen to the recording and answer appropriately. Sometimes they try to trick you by mentioning one of the options only to discard it and give the correct answer after that. You have to listen very carefully. The only way to get good at it - like most things in life - is to practice.

There are many practice listening tests online. Also when you are reading the questions and answers imagine it as a story and which makes most sense.

I hope there is a draw today. And I sincerely hope that CIC decides to clear candidates with scores above 400 before implementing any changes to the EE. There is no telling how it would hurt or improve our chances. ???

What changes are you referring to ? Are they bringing more changes to the EE again ? Didn't they do that just 3 months ago ?

Yes. Some posts talk about getting points for siblings in Canada. Even I hope that the 400+ candidates are cleared before that change is done.

YES thats it! I feel i would have lesser chance getting an ITA against someone who has the same skills and lang score as me but have a sibling in Canada. Plus the Atlantic programme. Once it starts going full force, CRS cut off points may increase again.

That's worst part about CIC. They keep moving the goal posts. Rules should only be changed with some prior intimation & at a logical point (e.g. at the beginning of new quota.)
