Hi all, have another question. My son's passport who's 13 will expire this December 2017. Just assuming if I get ITA in next month or two (@462) should i go for his passport renewal now or can make changes in the application submitted later.

I had read that landing needs to be done within 1 year of medicals or before passport expiry whichever is early. That's why was concerned whether should apply early for new passport or can do that easily later.

It is better to renew the passport of course. Go and renew it, Once you get ITA, and you are ready to submit, there is guidelines on CICs website on how to include new passport copy with explanation letter. It should be fine.

Who believes in a draw next week? Last year there were 3 draws in January.
Sitting at 456 and on March 1st I will lose 5 points! :-( This really makes me nervous! It's a race against time! Please guys, give me some hope!

Thanks for the advice, I should renew it now because then I will get new passport within 6 weeks and can include the new passport details in documents instead of first adding old passport and then changing the details.

It is all about ITAs volume.

If we are going to have 3 draws this month and all are at 3k ITAs, then many many many ppl will be happy.!!!

We might reach 440 quicker than we thought. If end of yr report comes out at least we will know how many are with score between 400-450.....I am guessing 30k.

i'm waiting for the 2016 end of year report so that we will know the breakdown of the active profiles last year and this will give us an indicator of the profiles number in each category.

i don't think that we are going to have additional 3 draws but i think there will be 2 draws (i hope for 4 draws 8) ) all as you said will be at 3k ITAs rate.

next draw 3k ITAs, Score 460.

the after 3k ITAs, Score 454.

what is your CRS score ? mine is gonna be 432 after retaking the IELTS exam soon.

I do believe in 3 draws as it happened last year!! If that's the case then a draw should take place next week on 11th and on 25th with CRS cutoff at 460 (2900 ITA's) & 456 (3000 ITA's) respectively!! what do you say?? 8) 8)

In worst case scenario, if they go with only 2 draws for this month then the final draw will be on 18th. : :

I didn't mean additional 3 draws....but rather 3 total draws in January like last year.

I was one of the lucky ones thankfully to receive an ITA on last draw, but thanks for asking. Hopefully you will get one soon.
Even though I really think you need to find a way to increase the score to have a better chance. Maybe look into OINP since you passed the 400 mark on scores.

No one can predict that, cause with many open topics CIC working on at the moment with the changes, and fixes and stuff.

Maybe end of this month.!!!

I remember that the 2015 end of year report was published in April 2016, so the report took long time to be published and this i think because it was the first report.

for 2016 end of year report i think it will be published in much sooner time, and i think it will be released around the end of January first of February Period, but who knows ? God only knows.

My CRS points dropped from 455 to 450 one month ago because of age. 450 is a very award score, with a very slim hope.

I have already taken IELTS three times for the past three months in the hope of maxing out the language points. Each time the score fall short of the full points by 6 points (3 points for each section). As the hope is fading away, do you guys think I should take another IELTS test just to take my chance? :-\ :-\ :-\

Also any suggestions on how to get full points in IELTS test? (BAND 10 for each section). I think my English proficiency is native-like. However, each time there were always some tricky questions that brought down my score. :-[ :-[
