470 next one!

By the way, I got a question. I got an ITA but I have to decline because there's an answer in the profile that I answered wrong, sadly i have to decline it. My profile status now is still in processing update, how long does it usually takes? it's already 24 hour, maybe because it's holiday?

Thanks!

Guys, Is there any chance in 2017 for the cut-off score to go down below 400 ?

Sorry, I don't think the scores will ever go below 400.
If it reaches 450 in 2017 it will be a miracle.

If IRCC thought the scores would go down below 400, then there was no need to give extra points to international students. I think IRCC does not want the scores to go below 450.

Give it time. I have read others saying that it took more than 24 hours to update.

I have been reading RAY of HOPE posts from 41st draw. Finally got ITA in the last draw. Can someone suggest me a good thread where POST ITA people connect?

Thanks all for keeping up the hope ;D ;D ;D

I think CRS may touch down around 430/440 by second or third quarter of the year. This is given the fact that the number of itas per draw stays at between 2k to 2.5k and draws are regular.

Well I was not enquiring about the nationality ! My question was about exam, anyway since u have declared as ielts my next question is: the speaking module for ielts has max if 7.5 in EE when I entered my score, so how can a candidate get 9 points in speaking for ielts? Or is it just my profile?? This is the confusing part ☹️

You can get 9 out of 9 in all the sections but it is not easy for anyone irrespective of their nationality and knowledge of the language. You can get maximum score in EE with following marks or above in respective sections.
Listening: 8.5
Reading : 8
Speaking: 7.5
Writing : 7.5

Hello almost ther,
Thank you for the information ! I totally understand what you mean. But I'm trying to clarify with folks that , in EE profile under language section I have tried to enter my new score. What I have noticed is under speaking section the max score that I can input is 7.5 for ielts. I'm checking with others if anyone had same experience.

Hello there,

Are you trying in the CRS calculation tool or in the EE profile? I know that CRS calculator gives u option "7.5 or above". I was able to input 9 in listening and reading, I didn't try on writing and speaking as I didn't score above 7.5 in those sections. So, I think under official language section in EE, you should be allowed to input any score.

As on Jan 2016, of the total active profiles, majority( more than 50%) of the candidates were between 350-500 and of these maximum were between 400-459. After the recent changes of additional points for Canadian education many might have benefited and moved to the slab of 450-500 only and very very few beyond 500.
Assuming express entry is attracting around 1.8-2 lacs applications in a year and after all the filtering of ineligible profiles there could be around 75k active profiles (basis last year report of 1.9 lac applications and 60k active profiles).

In a month there could be around 1.5-2k eligible profiles with Canadian edu criteria with experience ranging 1-3 years they would land between 450-500.

If they issue average 2.5k ITA’s per draw, assuming highest score as 500 and least score around 470, these profiles would be around 1.5k and will move out of the system fast and in these 2.5k ITA’s other profiles with PNP and job offers will also move out. if there are issues in few profiles the score might drop below 470 giving opportunity to profiles other than Canadian educated.

There is also a probability that if the no. of ITA’s are close to 3k or more than 3k the scores might come down below 450 fast giving scope to candidates between 400-450. Each draw should be near 3k for scores to come down fast

Bro, I have updated my EE profile yesterday with my new ielts score. I scored 7.5 in speaking so I have updated my new score. I can see max for 7.5 only under this section so I was wondering how can someone who scores 9 in speaking will update their scores in EE profile. Because I have noticed kryton scored 9 in speaking so wondering how she would updated that score in her EE profile?

Cool, she would reply in an hour or so.. as it's only 7:20 in London.. :)
