After 2.5 years there I considered it my home, too.

Unfortunately the witch who declined my lmia because I was "over qualified" decided I needed to spend sometime back in the UK before I was Canada worthy.

The people who processed the LMIA are down right stupid. They rejected two legit applicants from my company before, even though the profiles were professionally prepared by our own Legal dept while applications came from gas stations, ethnic restaurants and fake companies were approved left and right.

He was there with me but his work permit was dependant on my closed lmia permit (we were implied status for 2 months).

The funny thing is that my manager, you know, the employer that CIC are trying to HELP, was so furious he now refuses to hire a Canadian!! And HE is Canadian!!

He is/was so angry with the whole system and loosing me because I have a degree and he WANTED an educated person.

Meh, whatevs... I'll get them back!

Folks, its one world. No one steals anyones job. Otherwise, work in silo. Dont spread the business in the global basis. Example - Americans companies outsourced so many jobs to India, but in the same time, so many American companies sold their products in India. They made good fortune in India. Same is the case with every country. How the economy of the bay area prospering? It is all because of the immigrants, Green card, H1B.

Same is the case in canada. Immigrant comes to the country. In every dollar they spend, 99 cents is circulated back. Immigrant need school, housing, automobile, travel, food and so on. They will earn and they will spend. That is how the economy grows.

Always remember economics basic - Demand and supply. We do feel that my high paying job can be snatched by an immigrant with low wages. that is how equilibrium is achieved in the society by competition. Otherwise, everything will skyrocket.

When you are an immigrant you are as good as a citizen. Even most of the citizens were once upon a time immigrants. Who else is going to do the jobs then... aboriginals? Same is true with US.
