Good for you. Why do you assume that others aren't? Just because we are hoping the points drop doesn't mean we aren't pursuing other channels.
Just how many months were you hoping for score to drop below 450 in order to get your direct ITA? How long did that hope kept you in idle status, because the score will drop promisses you have read?
In the mean time the opened Ontario Human priority stream passed by without you applying for it. Even Nova Scotia was opened for EE applicants for some time. Manitoba was opened, and there were sessions for New Brunswick in UK too.

I didn't know the technical fault meant I had to recreate a profile to get the OINP.

Also I wasn't in the UK during 2015 and half of 2016. I have applied for PEI but no news yet and I don't qualify for SNIP. I have also been in contact with my old employers as well as my boyfriend's in Canada. You know 0 about people's lives here. Do your own thing and let us try and do our own. My only idle hope happended for a month following the shock drop to 450. I've also received fly retaken my IELTS as my listening score was CLB 8. Bumping to CLB 9 will get me 471 points. There has been nothing "idle" about my constant "hope" for the last 2 years.

The last draw in November was PNP specific with low number of ITAs, so am not sure even that should be considered as 'compensatory' for a regular December draw.
Infact, I am of the opinion that the last draw {16 Dec ) was a add-on to the Nov 30 draw to give a total of roughly 2.5k ITA. The next draw should have roughly 2.5k ita, and might be the pattern...Just my take...No facts!!!!!

In that case it should have compensated plus added its regular draw ITA count (2K + ~1.5K). But maybe you are right. They would rather underfill their quota than overfill.

I really think there could be a draw this Wednesday because of these reasons:

1. CIC should be compensating the missing draw on Nov 30th. Yes I would call it a missing draw.
2. Extending point 1, a missing draw on Nov 30th should have effected their annual target, so they need to cover up.
3. With a draw on Dec 21st, they will be done with December, keeping in mind that they normally have two draws per month.
4. A draw on Dec 28th is not likely. They shouldn't be doing this work on the last week of the year. And repeat point 3 again here.

Think it deserves a lower score: 470+/- 5 @ 2.5k ITA.....No fact
I hope it should drop to 470+/- 5 , which can benefit a lot of people.

I don't think the CRS will ever go below 450. Once they consume most of the international students now, they will introduce another rule that would grant extra points to candidates with some other XYZ qualification or XYZ skill. This new rule will completely depend on CIC's current requirement around the skills. They certainly seem to have a plan which at the moment looks like, "First take all candidates who have a job offer, then take people who have studied here, and then probably who have some work ex in Canada, then may be those who have some relatives, then those who have some friends or GOD knows what other rules they would come up with".

They just want people to stay in the pool so that they can take people based on their requirement at any point of time by manipulating the rules and giving preference to certain category of candidates. The draws happening every month is probably just a way to keep the people in the pool interested and keen.

Prior November 19, the CRS cutoff was always varying between 460 to 480 depending upon the PNP. The draw on 30th November clearly shows that the number of people with an offer in hand or a Provincial nomination was below 600. Which means if a draw of 2500 candidates would have happened in its scheduled time which was probably the first week of december, the CRS might have touched 450.
Obviously CIC was aware of this and hence introduced the new rule.
And we can all see, the CRS went up to 497 now. I expect this to continue until the CRS goes down till 470 again with only few candidates left in the pool who did their education from canada.
Then a new rule would come in that would benefit some other category of people and the CRS will again go up to 490 or 500.

Clearly, CIC is manipulating it.

I will watch the pattern for another month and see if a new rule is introduced as soon as the CRS crosses 470 or 465.
If it does, it would be time for me to may be withdraw from the pool. With 450 points, I don't see I have a chance.

Your thinking makes sense, maybe the siblings points in March.
IRCC says they need more and more immigrants and EE points are going up, somewhere it doesn't match up. :-\

Yes, that is what it is. To keep the score and make it for anybody outside Canada (no Canada connection), really difficult to reach in. That is the way push people towards Canadian universities.

But be aware, they will bash you here, if you dare to say that the score will stay high.
