"For most candidates, the November 30 PNP-specific draw was unexpected, but nonetheless welcome. On the Canada Immigration Forum, many members reacted positively to the news, even though they may not themselves have been issued an ITA on this occasion. One member posted that ‘This is actually the best thing that could happen . . . This way they clear some of the high score individuals,' while another member added that ‘All PNP cases in the pool are now cleared. This means the cut off scores should drop considerably.'"

yeah i guess that guy probably didnt know what he was talking about...

there is no such thing as PNP is gone and scores will drop lol... PNP nominations continue to be pumped out every single day...

Wait, so I probably missed something but you guys are saying that there is a likelihood of the draw NOT happening this entire month?

No... it's likely that there will be a draw shortly after the 12th, so probably on the 14th.

I know right! But, the next draw should give a picture as to what should people with 450-460 expect in initial draws next year.
At 450 I feel like I am so close, yet so far. Not sure if anyone else feels the same, or its just my optimism kicken in. :D

What about me, stuck at 469 which was so close to the 47th Draw but yet so far at the moment.

I hope CIC revises it's score and take care of poor people like us.... :'(

There might be a draw on 14th with a difference. It might be only for those between crs 470 and 599 ;) ;) ......they dont want PNP's this time.

At 459 I absolutely feel the same: sometimes very close and optimistic, but sometimes far and disappointed. Waiting eagerly for 49th draw and fingers crossed for those in 450s!

Okay, because it would be disappointing for so many of us if there were no draws in December. I am at 476 after the changes kicked in so I am really, really hoping to get an ITA soon.

Hope so, but seems unlikely.

I think so too and both will be with very high cut offs > 470. So Jan onward, score can start dropping, after the Canadian extra points people get cleared.

I am at 473 after the changes. But I feel I wont be getting an ita any time soon :(
Cutout can go up for few more draws.

478 is after several attempts of Language test, Canadian Education points and increase in work experience. It's like every time I feel like getting close to ITA something changes and cut off gets really high again.

I feel your pain bro

I posted this on another thread but I'll post it here again for you:

I wouldn't think too much about the high CRS score and low number of invitations. This draw is a PNP specific draw, with the new changes in affect there is absolutely no way for anyone but PNP applicants to have a score of 786 or higher (ignoring the very very small minority with NOC 00XX job offers and core CRS of 586 or more). They could've just did the regular announcement and said that the CRS score is 786, but instead they flat out mentioned that it's specifically for PNP applicants. This is to eliminate people from complaining about their scores not updating in time for the draw.

This is actually the best thing that could happen... given the circumstances.

There was no way for them to do a regular draw with all the technical difficulties they were having, so it's either this or wait a week or two while more people get their provincial nominations. This way they clear some of the high score individuals and not be stuck with a giant number of invitation at the next draw.

I wish that they do program specific draw from now on like

For example

2nd november 2500 ITAs with 430 points FSW
16th november 2500 ITAs with 490 points CEC
30th november 1000 ITAs with 900 points PNP

With Canadian Work ex and Canadian masters education, lot of folks (me included) got our scores way up to 530-540, so average score may rise. But the LMIA folks getting only 50 points now means that it effectively washes out that rise.

With Canadian workex+ education, I'd assume most guys would be ~ 500 more or less?
