Folks, i learnt from my friends that government agency rushed to approve bunches of LMIA around the end of last week workdays....I doubt whether the brokers may on time receive the hardcopy to provide the LMIA# to complete the registration and catch up the last chance +600pts?

The last chance might be next Wednesday (if there is a draw), otherwise you will receive 50 points after November 19th.

Cheers

100% there will be a draw on next Wednesday. CIC may give a chance to clear present LMIAs before 19th.

I think in the past draws we underestimated the power of LMIAs. I think that in between draws there are lots lots of LMIAs applicants added with 600 points which makes scores higher. So we will see scores going down after changes

The draws after 19th are going to be interesting. The one on coming Wednesday (if at all) is just going to be a regular one with no surprises...arnd 470

Is it bad that after 2 years of being in the pool, as of mid December I might have a legitimate chance of my ITA and I am TERRIFIED I am going to screw it up?!?! I almost don't want to submit it as I may ultimately fail overall. For instance, I think I wrote country of residence as UK on my second IEC application as I wasn't 100% sure of the definition...will that come back to haunt me?! I was on implied status for two months. Although my work experience during that time does not count towards my points and if they determine it was illegal, it won't affect my points at all... Aggggghhhh it's too much! :P

Please help me with the website link, that states these new changes (additional points to international students, changes to LIMA jobs etc)

What do you need help with?

Guys, what do you think? Is there any chance that those LMIA obtained in a rush will cause the cut-off score go higher than the previous one at the next draw?

Lmia can't be rushed. They could have applied after the points announcement change, but I don't think they will count as 600 points unless the person gets an ITA before 19th.

Yeah, I'm talking about this Wednesday's draw.

If they have an lmia now they will get 600 points for this draw.

However lots of people could have applied for lmias this week but they take months to process. By the time they get approved lmias they will only get 50 points :)

Hey kryt0n,
I'm looking for any website link that has detailed information about these upcoming changes in the express entry system. Changes that everyone is discussing and is about the additional points to the international students or to those who have siblings in Canada.
