CRS 469-474 and 1500-1700 ITA's if there's draw tomorrow, if they skip this draw, than we would go up to CRS 475+ again

As low as you can imagine, and if you are desperate enough. I've seen an experienced back end Chinese web dev willing to accept a position for $33k/year, while a Canadian will not accept that position if it's less than $65k CAD which is still insultingly low if we compare with the US. As $65k CAD ~ $48k USD.

I'm a Chinese back end developer with 3 yrs experience and received an offer from a BigCo for a position in Vancouver. The salary is above $100k CAD. I took the job interview in Beijing a month ago.

You are telling me that new immigrants' average salary in Canada for software development positions is that low? That's really horrible. If I get laid off, then I'll compete with people who are willing to take $33k/year? It's too discouraging...

You are working for Amazon, aren't you? because this is one of the few company in Canada I know that pay devs that much. The one that I know was really desperate, for time was not his friend.

What's a 'new immigrant's average salary'? Do the companies there discriminate between a Canadian and immigrant employee in terms of salary?

Absolutely no discrimination, but some of them know our situation and circumstance, that we need to find a job and need the company support to apply for PR. Like a native Canadian will never accept a $30k/year IT job, but a new international student with one or three-year PGWP will readily to accept it.
