FSW will surely resume when it is safe for people to travel. I only Pity those with lower scores because IELTS and WES will resume and the scores will go very high whilst there is no FSW draw yet. So my friends let's focus on improving scores and get ready to join them when Canada feels its safe for us to come in.

Yeah, on April 27th there were 2,635 applicants in the 471-480 category. Now there are 3,140. I wonder what IRCC's plan is to stop these from filling up too much. Surely there has to be an FSW draw sometime soon.
Hello, could you briefly explain why you think there must be a FSW draw soon? Thanks!

Hi Can anyone advise if IELTS exams are happening coz I booked for April 26 and they cancelled and reschedule it for May 24. till now its confirmed but one of my friend informed that her exam got rescheduled fro June while she booked for May. I don't know whats going on.

I think because the most critically saturated interval in the pool ranges within 471-480. Gradual resumption of WES & IELTS will condense it further. Idk how can we handle 5~10k between 471-480. That literally means score will skyrocket and never come down. But to be fairly honest IRCC doesn't give a damn about it, in fact it's favourable for them to pick highest scores.

Just doesn't really make sense to me to wait until borders open to start inviting FSWs, since anyone invited now will have to wait at least 6 months until they can leave for Canada anyway.

I was saying possibly if there are more FSW candidates entering the pool. Only IRCC knows.

Where do you get this data

From the page that was linked a few messages ago here. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...-entry/submit-profile/rounds-invitations.html.

One has to understand that unemployment is sky high in canada right now due to covid 19. If they conduct fsw draws right now, then liberals are answerable to opposition parties. If Canadians don't have jobs, how can they bring people in from outside. Plus, liberals are minority government which means they have to listen to other political parties.

i think sun is tabloid paper. realistic view from people in country like @canbnd, @navinball, @facethereality can give honest view of what take place now. we can never run away from truth we must be realistic with our hopes

You are correct. The Sun is a tabloid, and that article has already been quoted and caused two separate debates in this very thread. The only thing we have to go by is what IRCC says, and unfortunately they still haven't made an official statement addressing why FSW draws have been paused, and when they'll possibly resume. It's a pity.

The Sun may be whatever but this is an official statement by the immigration Minister in parliament.
As long as the coronavirus issue is prevalent, I don't see FSW draws happening due to both high unemployment rate and health risk of inland canadians as factors.

As with almost everything else in our lives, coronavirus may have changed EE also for good and this may be the new normal

What is your noc
Well, I’ll be 31 on June 6th, so the next draw will be my last chance before going from 475 to 470.
Almost a year into preparing for IELTS, finishing my post-grad studies, getting ECA, learning French.

I’m just so exhausted.
For fsw?
