CEC or FSW, we will tell in another few hours. So let’s not stress each other out at the moment.

Things are being normalised at the moment so it does not matter if the next few draws are still CEC exclusive.

Hello everyone, I see that there is a lot of discussion in this thread regarding accepting ita before actually complete a year of work experience. I hope this tweet helps. :)(My only intention with this is to help out, I don't want to be involved in any arguement please.)

Does this mean your 11 month + 1 month of being laid off = 1 year of experience ???

I have the same situation.

OP is saying he or she is is back to work after the initial lay-off and IRCC is saying accept it IF they will have 12 months of work experience by the time they apply. Also, as you can see you're only looking at half of what IRCC said (they start with 1/2). Here's the other half (2/2) "2/2 If you’re no longer in that job and won’t reach the 12 months of experience, you should decline the ITA ... "

competition on way. People prepare. its gonna be rough crs will go up not down. i pray my app get approve. no way for me to improve score if that happen unless i attend school in canada. maybe i will apply for study permit if my app get reject. o boy my head is spinning. @canbnd, @keyur sharma, @navinball, @facethereality what thinking you have with this?
Not so fast though. Whatever spike you are hoping for would not come this year. Bare in mind that not everyone leaving US would come into Canada and not everyone aspiring to come to Canada would have a competitive CRS score. So chill out, let them come. All you've got to do is put yourself in the best possible position attainable and wait. Cheers

468 doesn't look achievable for FSW in this round (if it happens to be a general draw). Looking at the CRS distribution table, the number of candidates in the 471-1200 are pretty much that if the ITA issued is only 3900, there's no way the score would drop to 468.

Torontosun is a garbage tabloid. Ignore whatever they say.

Yes, thank you. As was said earlier in this thread, it's hearsay, published in a trash tabloid. The very last place this forum should be getting insights into the immigration process. Wait to get news straight from IRCC, and stay positive until then.

Express Entry is definitely economic immigration. Everybody who isn't a refugee is an economic immigrant. It's not just immigration by investment. We all chose to apply for Canada PR for economic reasons, better jobs etc.

Not quite accurate. Around 90,000 aren't economic or refugee - but family class applicants.
