I just did my TCF Canada, and based on the preliminary results (love the fact that they release the Listening/Reading scores on the same day), I'll be getting 6 additional points, arriving at 475. But probably only around March 30th (when the final report comes out). Based on my research, It would be too risky to use this preliminary report to increase my score right now, so I'll have to wait until the first draw of April.
I really hope there's not FST draw on the first week of April... because I'll loose 5 points (31 years old) in 9 weeks!

Do you guys think coronavirus will decrease the cut-off score of EE? I guess some people do not want to take english test this time.

Based on IELTS restrictions, it doesn't seem to be the case, since the only major country that had IELTS sessions cancelled was China, and they count for only about 2% of the outland applicants, so... almost irrelevant. As a matter of fact, I think it can actually INCREASE the score.
If I haven't done IELTS yet, I would probably jump ahead and schedule my text ASAP, in the fear of this pandemia getting worst and worst.

My biggest fear is, if indeed IELTS starts to get cancelled in major EE countries, such as Philippines, India, USA and Canada, then... maybe IRCC will consider stopping issuing ITAs as a way to be fair with the new candidates trying to enter the pool.

Seems like an over-reaction if they did. Slowing down intake, or stopping it all together, would end up burdening the system if they intend to reach the targets that they just confirmed this week. There's, also, probably, still a high number of candidates in 450-470 range to pull from. Plus, outright suspending EE would end up costing people already in the pool points due to increasing age, expiring language results or ECA, as well as those people in Canada who need an ITA to apply so they can remain and keep working via implied status.

Yes, I do agree with you. It's way more probable that none of this actually happens... either IELTS cancelled in Canada or IRCC stopping issuing ITAs. I was just imagining what a "worst case scenario" would be.

Worst case scenario will be more than half of the world's population dying due to the pandemic.

That exceeds all the reasonable worst case scenarios being used by epidemiologists in modelling. The case fatality rate has been nowhere near 50% in any region. This isn’t like Thanos in Marvel universe! But take it seriously, follow general precautions (hand washing, respiratory etiquette and cleaning) and any further measures as advised by local public health agency.

It may affect people flying in to Canada. But visas and expiry dates will very likely be automatically extended during peak of COVID (as other countries have done). It makes zero sense to suspend EE. It’s a computerized system!
