I am no expert either in non-accompanying spouse application. However, I have watched the views of licensed immigration consultants on making such application for the purpose of raising CRS. The key is to give a valid reason. The next question is what constitutes a valid reason? A reason as simple as economics is a genuine reason. There is no harm in applying solo but reason has to be justifiable.

Moreover, I personally know a person who made such application successfully, but what happened with him may be unheard of before. He received a call from Delhi VO asking him everything he had disclosed on his application. One of the question was on non-accompanying spouse, to which he responded with the same reason he had included in the eAPR.

Enclosing few links:
Very interesting. In that case, this person should consult with an immigration lawyer and find a good reason and then justify the same using an LoE.

As a side note, they will still have to show PoF for 2 people and the spouse still needs to undergo the medical test, but I guess this was already known to them.

I don't know if you said so in jest, but the reason has to come from the applying individual. Yes, the application is done as if the dependants are accompanying and the proof of funds have to account for them as well. The videos were to defy the mill of myths surrounding non-accompanying spouse application and hear it from people with credibility.

Since your analysis is well thought and well put, could you may be possibly predict cut off for todays draw?
Sorry dear, I can't really predict the cutoff score since the density of the 452-600 score range is unclear and I don't have any experience in predicting as well, hahaha:D:D

Some other senior members are already puting their predictions for today's draw though so you can check them out from previous pages ;);)

Oh, I meant they will need to consult a lawyer to identify if the reason being stated by them would be accepted.

I fear that if many people start doing this then their applications might be scrutinised down the line.

By the way, did you hear of any rejections due to this?

The main hurdle is not just the experience certificate but the one specifying roles and responsibilities. To get points for the experience the responsibilities should match with NOC mentioned in EE profile.

Does any of those letters you have mentions duties you performed?
Thanks, I'll check the letters I have.

I will say look how it pans out in the next 2-3 draws and u can take a call on making it non-accompanying. It's the action time now with increased draw size and things can happen real fast. So extend your patience a tad more. Cheers
Highly not recommended in making your spouse non-accompanying.

This will complicate your PR application at later stage if you fail to convince visa officer.

It is sort of a gray area and not much is available. We might have to visit the website myimmitracker to figure out if such information is available. Not many people apply with non-accompanying spouse.

While you are waiting to hope the scores go down, other people are working on improving their scores. As a matter of fact, I and others posted here asking to update their scores. Some people are not idling waiting.

Whoever is just waiting for it to go down is just wasting their precious time that could be spent in improving their scores.

I admire the courage of people who rely on other's guesses, predictions, statistical analysis or whatever. In the end, even an educated guess based on statistics is just a guess.

Don't leave your future expectations to luck.
You know, it is possible to do both. It is possible to work on improving your score while hoping for a crs drop. I have started to learn French, but does this mean I should stop hoping for a drop in the CRS score? Of course not! This group is to add hope, not stop people from attempting to improve their scores. Furthermore, instead of saying improve improve, rather state how. Name a good online platform to learn French or name a good Canadian institution to further studies. But do not bash people for having hope and do not assume that those that want to a see a score drop are not in fact trying to improve or have exhausted their options.

Adding additional points is not always cheap or quick. It could take me a year before I increase my score, so why shouldn't I hope to see an ITA within that time frame?
