Hi guys,
I applied for AINP on june 2015 under international graduate category. My work permit is going to expure in june next year. Are there good chances of getting the nomination before my WP's expiry date or do I have to find other alternatives?

Not to disappoint you guys, but a friend of mine tod me that his friend got his case closed because his work permit got expired a week ago. He was waiting since 15 months >:( >:(

Better find other alternatives. My friend had the same situation to your friend.

Why didn't he extend his WP?

His employer applied for his LMIA, but it got refused. So, he was hoping to get the nomination as they are issuing nominations according to applicant's status expiry date.

Thanks for the heads up. By alternatives, what's your best bet given the remaining time left on your WP?

My WP expires at the end of June 2017 too. I got my file number on March 2015, already wait for 21 month, hopefully I can get mine soon.

I have no idea what am I gonna do. Just hoping to get the nomination before the expiry date or relying on Mr. McCallum's promises about making it easier for international graduates to get permanent residency through express entry.
Just hope for the best

you should be fine. if i were you i wouldn't worry about it. if you are close to 24 months waiting than they would try to help you out. other side if you have other alternative and it is better than go for it. i recommend EE as well if you have enough experience.

good luck

if you updated your info at that time than you should be fine. if not than it depends on officer who has your file. i hope it would work for you.

Thanks.

To be honest, I don't really have any alternative. My CSR is 395 (not enough to get an ITA). I can try to convince my employer for LMIA, yet not sure that he'll get it (keeping the unemployment rate in mind)

Yea, I updated info as soon as I got new job, and my boss got phone call in Sep already, but no news since then, and I called last week to general line, the lady just said everything is fine, i have to wait a few more weeks. And I told her that i wp expire in Jan, she didn't seems to concerned about it. :( You still have lots of time
