Agreed on your work permit expiry statement but the latter is just speculation my friend. As mentioned in my response-my friend applied on July 18-EDS - International graduate category and got hi nomination last month.June 26th is just for reference purposes i believe-there are many applicants who have applied after June and got their nomination already.

My Friends works at a gas station(supervisor)

Even many before June 26 still waiting. Friend applied on June 11 still waiting. A couple of friends who applied in end of May still waiting. Their work permit expired on May 23.

Hi everyone,

I applied for AINP SRS Engineering occupation category (NOC 2232) in February 11th, but I got laid off in March 15th, but I didn't update with AINP at all since I wanted to wait until I get another professional job, but I haven't got lucky at all since job market is too slow right now. and I still haven't receive nomination, so I called them today, the receptionist lady told me my application is still in normal reviewing process and it shows they are in the process of contacting my employer, and she said normally I have to let them know as soon as my employment status has changed. and them I called my old boss, he said he hasn't received any calls from AINP yet.

here's my questions folks,
- does AINP actually call your employer if you are under Engineering occupation category?
- say if they do need to call employers, is it normal for AINP to still be in the process of calling my employer almost 4 months after I submitted my application?
- does it matter if I don't let them know I was laid off, according to this AINP website , only employer driven category applications will be withdrawn if got laid off, they didn't mention anything else.
- what would they do if they found out from calling HR that I am no longer employed with my old company, would they call me to ask me or they are just gonna withdraw my application without saying a word?

thank you guys, I know that's a lot of questions, but this is so important to me, what should I do?!

In my case, they will not call your boss, but they do need you to provide the recent pay stubs.

If they found out you got laid off, then you application will be canceled for sure.

And what you should do is to find a new job.

Anyone knows any reliable and good recommendation for immigration lawyer in Calgary?

Too much expensive in Calgary. In my case, I found someone in Toronto, and communicated through email. It's much more cheaper. (less then $1000 for me and my GF together, including Federal)

No matter what, you need to know what should be done and do not trust ur lawyer blindly.

under SRS - PGW ,they request Alberta education (Degree, diploma or certificate AND transcripts)

I just have the official transcripts including conferral date and credential , do you think that is enough ? because I still don't get my degree

you don't get a notification that they have received your file. When they send you your file number via email, there will be a date as to when they have received your application.

You need both. However, you can send your application as it is and include an explanation letter that you will be sending your degree later for the reason of it being issued later.
