If you follow Edmonton Journal, it says in the article that "The department did not make a public announcement because it wants to deal directly with TFW's who will qualify".

I wish they included everyone whose work permit is expiring this year.

If I remember, the photocopies posted on facebook and this forum had info that said around 1200 WP expiring before June/July 1(?) and around 1000 by the end of 2015. So there are 2200 wp expiring in 2015. I may be wrong

I called AINP and the person that I spoke with said that those who are eligible for the bridging permit will get notification in the mail (not email) to notify them. I asked if PGWP holders qualified and the response was "PGWP are TFW too"....so hopefully PGWP holders whose WP are expiring may benefit from this new update.

The officer also mentioned that an official update will be made on the website....no timeline for it though.

Just called up ainp. So the New Rule Only Applies To those Reaching 4 Year Cap even If Ur Work Permits Expire Within Feb- december 2015, no Hope.

tomorrow I will ask clearly face to face what's going on with us who have 2 more years but wp just cpl months. if this one is true then they will be in trouble for sure. coz that's not our fault for we can't get new LMIA .no one has it. I'm trying every day to find new LMIA but just sorry sorry and sorry or go Saskatchewan .thanx . they must be equal among TFWs and no exception....

ok guys, I need your advice...Back in August when I sent my application the work permit that went with was valid until January 2015. In November I applied for new work permit and got it until April, due to 4 years cap. Should I inform AINP about my new work permit? Basically in their system my work permit is already expired....

oooppps there is on the website u have to report every changes in ur case. what I know the expires files r organized and is ready for landing to the garbage. when we applied the office worker told for us . call them right away and tell them ur situation . maybe ur case is rejected already

there was no change in my case, and yes, they call people and ask if there is a new work permit not just put application in garbage....if you don`t have any wise to say better say nothing at all

agreed... once you have file number theywill process applications rather than just tossing into garbage... accepted or denied its a different thing..they will call u when they process ur file but it will be better u update ur documents right now..fax them ur updated WP.write ur file number and ur name on cover letter for sure...

u said u got new wp then what is that if its not changing? anyway that was the last time for I was answering... good luck tho.... ohhh and they are not asking anything they wait for expires application . they have more than 12k what is in process. good luck

Under the leaked provision whcich i believe was sent to Immigration specialist those under the 4 yr cap who submitted their applicatin before july 1 last year if eligible will then recieve a mail from AINP their employers will also be notofied thru calls if I remember it right. And some low skilled cap were also included provided that they qualify under the criteria. Well the criteria is not mentioned yet so lets see

Don't go back to Ukraine. Can u apply for refugee claim. Saying if your families back there have received invitation for u to join army. And we both know u have no choice but go to a war or u can go to prison. Maybe based on this ground u could be eligible for refugee status

Actually i did receive a legit order to join the army. I just don't know if that would be a good reason to claim a refugee status, and also how it effect me in case i get denied. ill send you a privet message if you dont mind. I see the Ukrainian colors at your profile picture. Sorry everyone for off topic
