Can someone please answer my question?

If the 5500 quota reaches by the end of year 2014, what happens to the rest of applications that were accepted in year 2014 but have not been processed yet? Do they get carried over to the next year's application pool or do they automatically get disqualified and returned to applicants?

I have applied for AINP in Feb. 2014 and received my file number on Apr. 2nd. If AINP continues screwing up everyone's life like this, it is very likely that I will hear from them about the result in mid 2015.

Yes it will be carried forward to 2015. And yes, we we likely hear back by July if the processing times are not increased again.

thnaks buddy . can u kindly tell me about your occupation .

it's financial institution supervisor with BA and MA degrees all from UofC and total about 2 years working experience. the pay is not much but as I am under post grad category they don't check the wage(they told me over the phone).

Under same category people who applied before March all get their nomination, don't have friend applied in March, but friends applied after March no one gets any except file number so far even for some of them (like my admin friend)with many many years experience.

Thank you so much!
My next problem then will be how to keep my work permit status until then...

Qi,
Do you think if i ask my employer to give me a letter stating that i was promoted as a front desk supervisor a year ago, that would be enough to try to apply?
Or CEC will require lmo, job contract and so on to make sure you really work as a skilled worker?

To claim experience in that position you need an approved work permit as a front desk supervisor. If you have an open work permit , they will verify that the wages you receive are as per the position you are claiming the experience on.
If you lie and you are caught you will be refused for misrepresentation.

Hi All!

I'm getting very nervous and worried.
AINP office received my application Dec 10th 2013 and I'm praying hard I get nominated soon.
I applied as an International Graduate under Skilled Worker.
My open work permit expires 04/2015.

I have tried my best to read through all 131 pages and may have missed it but when I renew my work permit, does it remain as an open work permit?

Thanks.

If you got your CIC file number after getting AINP you can renew your open work permit. If not, you have to apply under employer support which is not open work permit. But if you have a international student boy/girlfriend, you can renew the work permit as open, or if you married to a citizen, you can renew your work permit as open as well while submitting new PR application. That's what I've heard friend my friend...

So I heard this from the immigration agency, if you did not study in Alberta before they will make you wait longer than those who have been staying here school and work.

Just an update:

My application was received: Nov 21, 2013
File # Received on: Dec 17, 2014
Email received asking for additional forms on Sept 12, 2014
Submitted the requested forms on Sept 13, 2014

Hoping for Nomination SOON!!! Stay Positive

My only question is, I had also sent an updated IMM5669 as I found out that the form I submitted originally is filled incorrectly and submitted additional info about my personal history which is I believe some of them are not included on the first sheet I had attached. I had explained on my email to the reason why I re submitted. Do u think Ill have problem or issues with it?

Well that's good news as I have a friend who got his nomination 3 weeks after they requested extra documents.
It means they have dusted off your file and started to process it!! :-)

any one from December got any news Apne any news you received ...its really frustrating .....

There are so many applicant are waiting who applied in november ,so I dont think so they gonna start this year for december.

Anyone who applied under Compulsory and Optional Trades Category? how are the things moving there? similar to Engineering Occupations Category i mean is it faster or....

Anyone applied implied status here,?
WP expiring soon and nomination is really frustrating because of the processing time .

I know someone that works in food service industry, that is still working and WP is already expired and still no nomination yet , just file number.
I think like 8 of them applied AINP semi skilled category in one employer on November 28 , they have to wait 25 mos. for nomination cert will arrive. And a a third party advice them to apply implied status with the employer letter and signature I guess not sure. and they have to wait for the result , I spoke to one of them saying that it depend if CIC will give them a 90 days to 1 year implied status. This is without LMIA application, the third party only use their AINP file number. How was that possible?

If anyone here did applied implied status and approved please tell us the process , what forms are use , documents needed and all. Without using third party representative to avoid cost $$$ ..
It would be a big help for everyone using this forum and for those work permits expiring soon while waiting for nomination ...
Thanks...
