to get work permit for you, your wife should have a full-time job. few years ago it was possible to get open work permit based on spouse's post graduation work permit. but now the post graduation work permit holder should have a full time job with NOC B and above. OR you could apply for visitor visa and wait until your wife gets full time job.

Those who are really facing challenges with WP expires relating to AINP etc, please I request one and all to react now, I have emailed to the Premier of Alberta (Rachel Notley) regarding the whole situation so that their unit (Office of Premier) can give a heads up to the ministry of labour (Gov of Alberta). I have written them on Friday ; 29th January 2016 and I just got this reply today at 10.02 am:

Dear (my name was typed in here),

On behalf of Premier Notley, thank you for your email. I am glad to hear you are enjoying your experience in Alberta. Regarding your specific concerns about working in Alberta, I have forwarded your email to the ministry of Labour, which is responsible for the coordination of immigration programs in Alberta, including the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program.

So one good thing is they read and they reply so please write to them . One email will not help us in order to raise our voice all have to do it. If any one plans on writing them I can give you the details or simple google for Premier of Alberta , go to their website , contact the premier and write your message.

1st thing you need to go through a lawyer which I did, but its my personal opinion. if she applied for PGWP then you can apply for OPWP based on her PGWP. At least the AOR of ur wife's PGWP is enough to file ur OPWP, i might be right or wrong but we will be doing exactly the same thing as advised by our lawyer.
