hi, i am feb,2014 applicant. my visa expired in oct,2014. i have applied for LMIA but have got no reply till now. i was wondering what to do if in case i get a call from AINP people regarding my status before i get LMIA. Please help.

A person can get Post Grad WP for up to 3yrs. In my case I got it for 2yrs, 11 months. My question is let's say if I don't hear anything from AINP by the time my WP expires (which is the most likely case). Can I apply for WP extension just 10 days before it expires. If I do paper application it takes up to 70 days and if I get a month extension it will add up to it. Altogether I may get 50 to 100 days depending upon how long CIC takes to do it and how much extension they will give me. I want to know what will happen to my AINP application in the mean time? Do you think it is an intelligent thing to do? Also is there anyone who has same timeline, category or NOC as mine. Let's connect and discuss. I will appreciate any response or advise

I applied in April 2014 and I have 2 questions:

- my WP expires 30 June 2015...and I'm afraid it is going to be too short for me to get nominated...my current WP is LMIA exempt (Young Professionals WP under the IEC category), how could I extend my work permit without an LMIA? Some of you have mentioned people getting extensions or at least "buying time"?? How does that work??

- I have applied for Express Entry (NOC 1221), got 396 points and entered the pool through CEC...if I (ever) get the nomination, I could have a chance to be drawn with 600 points...but I have just read that info from Feb 6, 2015: "Many Alberta provincial nominees are asking if they can use their Alberta nomination for Express Entry. An AINP certificate of nomination cannot be used for Express Entry. If you have created an Express Entry profile, do not indicate that you are an Alberta Provincial Nominee."

Really?? Sorry to maybe paraphrase but...I cannot use my AINP for Express Entry?? I thought only Quebec was the only province out of it...I don't get it :-\

They received my application on December 2013. I applied under Employment Driven Skilled Worker, NOC2254, I'm still waiting and haven't heard from them. Website says it will take 13-15 months....I'm calling this week to ask about it...

Why do u wanna go to AINP route after getting ITA..its slow and nothing is certain about this program..

I got ITA, I submitted and paid my application under FSW in EE. But, my Work Permit is expiring on May 22 and I'm looking for something to get a new work permit in the meantime I get my PR "Passed"

We're on the same boat. Nov 28 2013, eds semi skilled expiring wp soon. No news at all.

tht will be total waste of nomination my friend...10000 ppl waiting for nomination with just 4800 remaining who has no other way to get PR on other hand you can get tourist visa and stay while wait for your positive response from CIC which shouldnt take longer and apply for WP.
Dont take it personelly i m not trying tell you wht to do just concern about desperate ppl who is waiting for 14-15 months just to get nomination..good luck

You can bridge your permit i guess. Don't wait for nomination which someone else can use as no other option.
