In NOV2013, CIC removed Food supervisors, Retail supervisors, cooks from CEC. Now AINP started same thing.

Hi Dalma11. I see you got the same noc mine that is 8412. I want to know when did you apply and under which category. I applied under SRS-PGWP on June 10, got my aor on July 4 and file number on September 4, 2014

Thanks Dalma1 for reply. I was working as a Coil Tubing Operator at the time of application. Then I got my employment terminated. I applied on June 10, 2014 and so far have not heard back anything from AINP. What do you think? How will it effect my AINP application

That screwed a lot of us including me. If that option was available or if they had given a dead line I would have received my PR already. So unfortunate

You need to find the same job then submit information to AINP. Otherwise, that's it. No hope.

Hello everyone,

I applied in April 2014 and I have 2 questions:

- my WP expires 30 June 2015...and I'm afraid it is going to be too short for me to get nominated...my current WP is LMIA exempt (Young Professionals WP under the IEC category), how could I extend my work permit without an LMIA? Some of you have mentioned people getting extensions or at least "buying time"?? How does that work??

- I have applied for Express Entry (NOC 1221), got 396 points and entered the pool through CEC...if I (ever) get the nomination, I could have a chance to be drawn with 600 points...but I have just read that info from Feb 6, 2015: "Many Alberta provincial nominees are asking if they can use their Alberta nomination for Express Entry. An AINP certificate of nomination cannot be used for Express Entry. If you have created an Express Entry profile, do not indicate that you are an Alberta Provincial Nominee."

Really?? Sorry to maybe paraphrase but...I cannot use my AINP for Express Entry?? I thought only Quebec was the only province out of it...I don't get it :-\

It depends which country you are from cos some countries their working holiday visa is upto 2 years ( example: Ireland ) so it depends where you are from then you might be able to apply IEC for 2nd year.

However if your country only allowed one year for IEC then I don't see there is any other way you can extend your work permit under current situation. You might ask your current employer if they are wiling to help you to apply for LMIA so you are able to apply for a new WP once the LMIA is approved. However LMIA is not easy to get now especially if you are located in a BIG city such as Edmonton or Calgary.

AINP nomination can't use for EE because Alberta didn't get any quota from EE so that is why no AINP nomination can be used to add the extra 600 points in EE.

I called up ainp again this morning and my application hasnt even been touched yet. My goodness!! and i asked about the news thats been deleted, the officer just told me 'i see'! cant they be transparent?
