Dear members, my wife will be arriving Canada next week. I am looking to buy medical insurance for her. I need some of yours suggestion and advice about it. Thanks a lot folks and hope all your immigration cases get resolved very soon inshallah

Hi if you work as an employee at some institution and got private insurance you can easily add your spouse as your dependent and that way although your insurance cost might go up a ted bit but your wife will be covered.

Thanks, that sounds like a good advice. I will check. Also, my wife did arrive safely, not many questions asked here at the airport and they stamped only the arrival date on the passport.

best wishes.

sent my TRV application on Feb 28th .....no response yet. really worried as to what will happen this time....:(
Do people get visas in their second attempt?

No need to worry hbushra . I applied on Feb 21st still haven't heard anything back on average they are taking 40 working days so stay positive
There is another guy here who applied for his fathers visa on feb21 and he got his passport back with visa last Friday.

Sometimes people apply 3 or 4 times before getting successful don't lose hope

I'm not aware of the regular standard requirements for TRV in Pakistan.

But in general, yes, you should include an invitation letter. It's listed in the "You May Also Need" section, not in "You Must" section (Ref: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/apply-who.asp). It may also need to be notarized as well. A VO will be interested to know your husband's situation (not in your in-laws). You should put your own address as residential & mailing address in Contact Info section. You can use your in-laws' address in Details of Visit to Canada section.
