Thanks for the reply.

I'm thinking about reapplying in next few days. is it wise to get a job letter from the company stating about my annual leaves for two months (with exact dates) and with a valid return ticket with tentative dates? and then just mentioning something like "I have been granted an annual leave of 2 months. and I would like to spend my vacations with my husband.
All the expenses would be covered by myself during my stay" ???? and not mentioning about exact duration of visa that i want?

One of the reason that i see could have led to our rejection is , that my husband was already visiting me when i applied a TRV (to visit him in canada, when he was himself in PK). and then we specified such a long duration?

What do you think about it?please advise. also, do i need to submit a new police certificate? since its going to expire on feb.18th (was valid for only three months).is there any need for it?

its good to reply but make sure u have improved your file in every sense--dont be in hurry otherwise u will miss chance again---I think if ur husband was in pakistan then that doesnt effect your application as my very close friend got her wife's visa from ISL embassy when we was visiting back home in summer vacation. Also if u r going for 2 months then they might count as normal visitor ----not in family reunion which has high priority...Anyhow, when u apply for 2 months then write them u r are applying for 2 months because of job and also your husband will beheading back to pakistan after hbis study thats why i dont have longer stay plans -----etc etc--this shows ur and ur husband intention as temp resident....
But dont contradict any of ur statement when u applied first time ...

if ur police certificate is still with in 3 months time when u file application then no need to have new one

Try to be very humble in ur letter to Vo and also clear ur point of rejection in very good way

I'm really confused as to what duration i should mention now. i think our previous application was also very clear and still i got this response.... can you please help?

if i go for a shorter duration they could think as if am being desperate to go over there, and if i mention the same length they could again put a mark on the "proposed length"......

It has been 73 days since my wife applied for TRV. Does anyone knows there is a phone number to contact the Islamabad office for the status of application? Any advice if I should call from Canada or my wife shall call from Pakistan ?

Thank you Unaseem. You are right about email. I called on the phone and found that they don’t give out status of applications over the phone. I was able to get some live person answer the call but he told me the same what I heard on the recording earlier.
Do you know if the number of days are counted as business days or calendar days? So far I have been doing counting in terms of calendar days.
Also, the recording asked me to send email with following information:
Full name, DOB, File number, Updated contact information
But there is no file number for the TRV application. So not sure what shall be written as reference; perhaps passport number?
Her contact information has not changed so what does it means “updated contact information”? Should she just write her cell phone number or is it necessary to include the home address and home phone. Her application was sent by a travel agent through TCS and the return address on that package is travel agent address. Currently the tracking is showing it IN TRANSIT.

I'm also thinking about applying at any canadian graduate school/university. and if i get admission i will apply for student visa. would it be a good idea to apply for student visa?

Sorry, I should have been clear. It is showing in Transit in TCS tracking. I was told since we pay shipping for the round trip, it continue to show 'Transit' until it is delivered back to the applicant.

I think try again as spouse visitor. There is no way u will be rejected -thts I believe ---I saw many friend and people around whose wives came here --so its not tht hard so dont be dissappointed ----try again and easy to get tht -----if u apply study permit then u will showing same attention as u have to show ur husband is in canada --- u cant lie as u r in thr system ----so apply again Visitor u will get it

No news as yet Unaseem. Wife's application was sent on 15th Nov. So these days I feel very stressed and nervous.

i CAN understand IRSUm -----even when i applied for my wife, those 34 days were like hell ---specially worrying to get rejected --InshahAllah u will get it------longer the time safer is --i believe ----but this long time is enough to check ur patience level ----so hopefully u will get by this week or start of next---

Also, give a call to TCS / fedex to check whether ur file came back or not---just in case if TCS couldnt contact ur wife thr in ISL
