InshAllah it will be a positive result. do let us know about the outcome.

Hi;

All of you who have submitted the docs..does the wife's bank statement matters? Is there any minimum limit to the bank statement that would be acceptable. Also should the covering letter be from the wife or the husband who is in canada. Do you have any extra document that you have in mind that you think would be helpful??

thanks

SI, I did ask my wife to inlcude her bank statement. I sent her the invitation letter that she had attached with her application. We just enclosed basic documents such as employment letters, tax return, pay stubs etc...nothing extra ordinary

Unaseem : Please help regarding my TRV application.

My Husband is studying in canada as an international student, while he was visiting Pakistan, we had our nikah done on 14th oct and applied for the TRV on Nov 21st 2011. Later we got married (on Nov 25th). We applied with full documentation from CHC islamabad and i received a letter on 20th Jan 2012 stating that my application was denied due to three reasons:

"you have not satisfied me that you would leave canada at the end of your stay as a temp.resident. in reaching this decision i considered several factors including":

marked reason # 1 : length of stay in canada.
2: insufficient funds including income or assets to carry out stated purpose in canada or to maintain yourself while in canada and to effect your departure.
3: income required for 2 persons (low income cutoff)for 2011 is $27674

My husband also left on jan 20th and i got to hear this bad news very same day.

my husbands study permit is valid till jan 2013 and my proposed length of stay was 1 year(as long as his study permit). we showed almost $23000 CAD. i showed $12000CAD in my personal bank and my husband showed the same amount with his monthly income letter. I am also employed in pakistan so i have a strong tie in my home country. but they only marked 3 reason mentioned above.

Please advise as to what should be our next step? should i reapply by showing more funds? or reduce the length of stay?

all replies are appreciated.

Regards,

I just read your posting and I am sorry that your application was not accepted. Perhaps one of the thing to do would be to ask for a shorter duration vista; perhaps 3 months or 6 months. The funds that you and your husband have shown seem to be quiet sufficient but as your husband is student in Canada the VO might have focused on income amount. I am not an expert by any measure; just saw your message and thought that it has not been responded in several days. I hope someone with more knowledge and experience would be able to give you more comprehensive advice.

@ Hbushra

very sad for ur rejection but u can file again after improving ur file
Mine case was same -- my nikah in June 2010--then applied for visa 29 Sept and got it Nov 4th..My file was simple..my study permit was going to expire august 2011..I asked embassy to issued my wife visa until my stay in canada that was 30 August 2011.I showed them my canadian bank statement 17000$ but bank statement start from 6 months back with 21000 and goes to the day fo submission to 17000 thats important that ur account should have money and history----my wife doesnt show anything and even she didnt have any bank accounts ever---my wife was in last semester of BBA when i applied so she was not doing -----rest i gave them sponsor letter and one letter my wife wrote them ----I didnt show any wife's ties to pakistan ---i told them in sponsor letter that my wife's biggest tie ismy as husband so doesnt make sense to have any tie stronger then me -----i told them i have ties with pak which i already showed u when i applied for student visa so my wife return with me.

Only thing is that u stay very straight forward and to the point ---everything should be realsitic -----

ur funds were more then enough --23000 is too much----however CICV website show that 2 person amount should be 13800/year so u had alot of money -----

length

@ @ Hbushra

length of stay is never issue ----my wife visa issued for 10 months and when she landed here she was asked to have medical exams later during stay inn canada and once she medical they gave her more 2 years stay ---thats mean sept 2010 to 0ct 30,2012...

apply again and try eb realsitic in sponsor letter and applicant letter to VO ----thats really important whcih change VO mind--in my application i did change his mind inspite having very simple application --no ties nothing but convinced them by writing
