Hey all so my question is I entered Canada on December 5th 2021. I submitted a visitor record application in may to extend my stay. This has still not been processed. The reason for this being I was marrying my then fiancé and planning to do an inland application. Something has come up and I will have to return to my home country (USA) and we will now be submitting the application Outland. Since I have now left Canada I was wondering if there is any harm to my Outland application or in attempting to see my spouse in a couple months if I withdraw my application since I’m no longer in Canada. Thanks for the help

You shouldn’t withdraw your application if you stayed past 6 months but you should send a webform indicating that you have left Canada so there is no need to keep processing the extension. No harm having an outland application. Should be fine visiting Canada again but you may be asked for proof of ties to the US like a job, home, etc. as well as funds to visit.

Hey thanks so much for an info. I have a question regarding not to withdraw the application. If I indicate I’ve left Canada and there is no need to keep processing the application, does the application still get approved/denied or is it similar to a withdrawal in a sense
