Hello all,

My question is that, for the schedule A, do I need to mention short travel trip (1 week) in the 10 years background declaration?

Thanks

If the trip was out of the country, then yes.

If you were employed during the time of your trip and it was just a vacation time, then you do not need to declare it in your background declaration.

when in doubt, just declare it and be truthful in your application

Maybe yours was done within your country, but any trip overseas should be declared.

she had left the country. No issues. She went a different tropical vacations for a week at a time. None of them were declared

Even though he was overseas, as long as he was employed at his country of origin he doesn't need to provide travel information. For this purpose IMM5562 form exist.
Form IMM5669 provides legend on how the form has to filled out. It states:
"Under "Activity Type" write your occupation or job title if you were working. IF you were NOT WORKING, provide information on what you were doing (travelling, retired and etc.)"

If I were declaring all my travels during my employment it would have taken 20 pages, which is smth that might only slow down background check process as they will look into each travel and thinking that it was the main activity at the moment. No need to apply unnecessary pressure on CSIS or whatever service processing the background check.

My husband (applicant) got a request to submit schedule A form...he filled the form but when he clicks on 'validate', it gives him an error under the personal history column. It's highlighting one box in red where hes putting year '2008'....he is filling that box right as what he did in 2008...no extra space in the box or anything...it is still not letting us validate it...it says "some info is missing' ...please help..without validating it, we cant upload on IRCC Web form either...thanks in advance

I can not tell what is the reason if I don't see the column that's been highlighted. You shall provide screenshot.
You might have forgotten to input Employer Name, Status in Country and etc.
