On my case, it sent to principal applicant's email.

If you send your PR application with OWP, you will have implied status. Otherwise, you have to do visitor extension to maintain your status in Canada.

I have linked the PR app once I received AOR. Both applications are in my online CIC account now. Is that mean they (PR department and visa department) already know i'm under two applications at the same time?

Just worry about if they don't know/trust I'm under spouse sponsership, they will just give me 6 months or less extension.
