Need help !!
I am on work permit in Canada and will be completing 1 year in October. I was arranging my documents and have got PCC for me and my spouse.

I am planning to visit India in the end of November, and come back after 4 weeks.

If I get an ITA in October, I would like to submit the application before my visit to India.

Question -
Will the PCC be invalid if I visit India after submitting my application?

If you stay in India more than 6-month, you should get new one and send to IRCC by webform. Other than that, it will be valid.

Hello, I received my ITA on Oct 10, 2023. The deadline for my ITA is Dec 10, 2024.

I have applied for my PCC in India on Oct 5, 2023 (before ITA) and it is still in process. If I don't get my PCC before Dec 10th (ITA Deadline), I am uploading a letter of explanation.

I am planning to visit my home in India for a month Dec 24, 2023 to Jan 25, 2024). If I still don't get my PCC before Dec 24, 2023, can I travel to India and would my PCC be valid after I come back?

Please advise. Thanks

Your PCC is valid unless you stay more than 6-months outside of Canada.

Hi there,

Quick Question!

This year, I spent 45 days in India, and during that time, the Passport Office issued my PCC as per their process by visitng the office, giving biometrics, picture, etc.

In less than two months, I was back in Canada, obtained my PNP nomination, and a few days later, I submitted my application for permanent residence.

Is the PCC I brought back from India sufficient, or do I need a new one?

Thank You.

Hi guys,

I have a question about PCC. I came to Canada in 2021 and since then I have visited my home country (Pakistan) 2 times (15 days, 30 days).

I can create a new PCC, but the question is should I include dates in the PCC for all three instances (2 visits and the time before coming to Canada) in different rows or just one row for all?

Need urgent guidance. Thanks in advance.

There's no risk. He doesn't need one as the guidelines given by the authorities are as follows:

For any other country
For any other country, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row.

Some countries put expiry dates on their police certificates. If you have a police certificate that expired, include it. We’ll accept it if:

  • it was issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row
  • it is not for the country where you currently live
An officer may ask for a new one later on.

There is no requirement if he's stayed in India for only two weeks. If an officer asks for one later on after submission, for his own satisfaction, then that's an entirely different situation.
Perfect answer.

Exactly. You are right.
In the IRCC website it is mentioned:

1. The PCC for the country where you currently live: (example UAE)
. must be issued no more than 6 months before the date you submit your application.
. must not be expired.

2. For any other country (example India), the PCC must be issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row.

I already made my Indian PCC from Saudi and planning to go to India for 2 months (Inevitable). Based on IRCC website, Iam hoping i dont need a new PCC if i stayed in India for 2,3 months. Kindly reply.

Hi,
I have received my Indian PCC applied from KSA in Nov 2022. But after that I had an emergency as my mother expired and went to India for 2 weeks. Return on 10th Dec.
Now I have been Nominated in Canada PNP. Me n my wife reapplied for Indian PCC through VFS.
My wife got her PCC and mine is still pending. My question is if I failed to receive my PCC, Can I use my Old PCC while submitting the form in IRCC?
Bcoz in Canada Visa page it’s written that except the resident for other countries PCC should be issued for stay more than 6 months in a row.
Pls help me in this regards
Hello. Iam also in the same boat. I already made my Indian PCC from KSA and now i must travel to India for an emergency. What happened with your case? Did you(husband) submit your old PCC and was that ok for your canada PR application or were you requested for submitting a new PCC from IRCC agent? Kindly reply. Because the IRCC site says we need a new PCC if we stayed for more than 6 months in a row in other country.
