So, my husband and I are filling out the outland app for me. He is currently a student on his apprenticship studies and has enough homework/papers to do for that. We were wondering if it was ok if I filled out the info and all he does is sign where needed or would that look bad to immigration if they saw that the same person filled out the entire app? I know it may sound silly, but we just wanted someone else's opinion. :)

No, this is not a problem. You can go ahead and to that.

The forms can also be filled out on the computer and printed already filled out. That way they can't know who filled them out ;)

Thank you for your replies. We were already sent the application. Everything is organized. Just waiting on his birth certificate and my medical and filling out the papers and it's in the mail hopefully in the next two weeks.

I am the applicant and literally made the entire application. Even wrote the letters and he just signs them! Of course he reviews it all for accuracy. But I have all the momentos and I'm the writer... and he's about as forgetful as they come (teehee). I really don't think this matters whatsoever! It's probably a bit more rare that the applicant assembles it all... but CIC can't honestly expect the sponsor to always be the organizer, right? ;)

I think in more than half the cases where one person does the majority or all the work it's not based on who's the applicant or who's the sponser but - and sue me now folks for a *VOID WORD*-ist pseudo-joke - which of the two is the female ;-)

Haha! There are some men on this forum who did a mighty fine job of their applications and might be offended by that insinuation ;)

But yeah, it's usually the woman. Except when her English is not that good xD
I didn't fill out my husband's part of the application, but he did have to fill it out while I oversaw the whole thing over Skype. Good thing I wasn't in the room with him, I wanted to slap him a couple of times for not remembering pretty much anything that sponsor's questionnaire asked.

lol...nyssa, my husband's the same way....so forgetful. I'm so much better at writing and paperwork than he is :) I know it's a silly question, but this thing makes me so nervous and I don't want anything to go wrong or miss something. I can't wait til it's over and I'm just filling out the forms.
