Hi All,

I'm applying to sponsor a parent and have a question about one of the items in this form I'd appreciate your opinion advice and experience with these two questions (I have read them several times and read the explanation they give but besides the fact that the explanation to the question doesn't address the actual question but the questions are written so badly it feels like no matter what you answer you do it wrong-please help):
One note: I'm sponsoring a parent that is a citizen and lives in their country of citizenship.
Question 6 item b:"if the above address is not in the country of nationality of the person you are sponsoring, has that person been lawfully admitted for a period of at least one year in the country where he or she is living?” (Here are the options to answer)
“NO-the application will be processed at the visa office responsible for the country of which the person you are sponsoring is a national.
YES-answer c) below"
item c: “Do you wish to have the application for permanent residence of the person you are sponsoring processed at the visa office responsible for this country?” (Here are the options to answer)
YES-
NO-the application will be processed at the visa office responsible for the country of which the person you are sponsoring is a national."

Again, I'm sponsoring a person who holds a citizenship from the country they are living in, and I didn't realize we can 'choose' what office will process the application which sounds like what they are asking us to do. They should have asked is this person a citizen of the country from where they are applying, if you say yes then move on to the next question if you say no then go through the hell of trying to understand this question ::)

I really appreciate if someone can help clarify this one.
Thanks
K.

If the person you're sponsoring lives in his/her country of citizenship, you should answer neither b) nor c) as per the instruction for b) (If the above address is not in the country of nationality of the person you are sponsoring, has that person been lawfully admitted for a period of at least one year in the country where he or she is living?).

But the question is definitely badly formulated.

Thanks for the reply.
So you suggest ignoring the question? since the person lives at his/hers home country, country of citizenship and the address given at the previous question is the only address for them? so do I leave it blank? or do I put Not Applicable? (there was a warning at the beginning of the form about having to fill in every question with either a response or a N/A but not leave blank, otherwise the application might be retunred to us...).

thanks again :)
