Hi! congratulations on the job offer! My recommendation would be to first explore work permits. If you currently do not have previous ties with Quebec (studies, work experience), it might take well over a year and a half to get the CSQ and the federal Permanent Residence (quebec has no immigration program aligned with express entry). Work permits are easier and quicker, and once you are here you could try to apply for residence.

Only other option would be to apply to a different province and then move to montreal after you are settled in and have everything with you (health insurance cards, Social Insurance Number, etc.). But honestly, this may take a while too.

It all depends on how soon you need to start the job in Montreal. But my bet would honestly be a work permit first.

Best of luck!

Hi,
Thanks for update. But I have to start my job there on or before 15th May 2017. That's why I am asking the earliest options to reach there.

I will not suggest to start processing anything from Quebec. If you have a Open Work (PGWP) permit you can work in Montreal without an issue. I would suggest to wait for your express entry application as you should be able to get it before May. Land in any other province start processing your necessary documentation and temporarily move to Montreal while keeping your principal address outside Quebec.

Once you have everything move to Montreal permanently.

Right but the just picture may not be enough. For my NZ visa processing, I have provided housing contract, bank transfers, party pictures with friends, etc.,but for non-accompanying(for CSQ) spouse I have just provided marriage certificate. Well, there is no explicit rule states that spouse must stay outside Canada until PR gets approved ( may differ for non-accompanying spouse and newly married couple), so that they have both inland and outland application process. As long as you prove your have financial stability, you may apply for a TRV for your spouse then extend inside Canada until her/his PR gets approved. During this process (inland) you can also apply for an open work permit for your spouse.

There is no stated rule, but the experience of many says so. I hope that it's not the case as I think, though. NZ and Canada are two different countries, and may have different policies.

Any one got married after PR and brought his/her spouse to Canada? How was it? What did they ask as a proof?

Dear All,
My CSQ was in July and I sent my package on 6th Nov and was received there on 11th nov. Ideally, I should have an AOR by now. Getting nervous as I have nt received anything yet.
Hi,
I think you don't have to worry. My file had been received on 18 of November 2016 but so far on the spreadsheet file I see that who applied on November 1st and 3d received AOR. We should receive in future weeks hopefully.

Good luck!

HI I got my file number but not able to link the application to my exiting account. It says application not found :(

Congratulations!
Please if you can update the spreadsheet file for your AOR.

Thanks and Good Luck!

Do I need to wait for PCC or I can send it now?

I have one query, how do I know which Visa Office will be treating my file after AOR?

Will it be specified in the AOR email/mail?
