App. Sent.......: October 28, 2015
App. Filed.......: November 3, 2015
AOR Received.: March 02, 2016
Med's Request: May 10, 2016
Med's Done....: May 13, 2016
RPRF Req.......: June 02, 2016 (got the request from Ottawa office, Paid on the same day)
Passport Req..: ?
VISA ISSUED..: ?
LANDED.........: ?

I called them last week, and they said everything is good and I need to wait. But how long? Is there anyone here having around my timeline got any update from CIC?

you should expect something by Sep or Oct. Most of my friends ,who got PP request in recent times, received it after 3 or 4 months since medicals.

Hello, CIC received my application on Oct.30,2015. I applied inside Canada. I paid for the RPRF on April.18. Till now no updates...Could you please share your friends' timeline? They apply for family or for single. Maybe Single file is faster than family file.

Yes you are right on of my single friend got visa with 6 month now he is in Montreal. But I am still waiting for MR.

Just out of curiosity: Has anyone who currently resides in Quebec been asked to provide a settlement plan? If so, any idea why they asked for it since you're already settled in Quebec?

Just wanting to be prepared if we get asked for a settlement plan despite being here for the past 5 years and never living anywhere else in Canada.

Yeah your receipt number should work to check your application status. As for AOR, you'll receive it via email, unless they're unable to email you (like if you didn't provide an email address with your initial application)

But do note that you won't be able to check your application status until 1-2 weeks after you receive acknowledgement of receipt, which you should get around 4 months after you send in your application.

My timeline is similar to yours, I did not get any update since they have received my medical check on June
