Hi,

I am near the end of my application since my GCMS show my (Eligibility, medicals, criminal/security checks) have passed. For my wife, her security check is in process.
Recently, since my wife's PCC got expired, CIC asked for a new one.

Does anyone have any idea if CIC does a fresh criminal/background check after getting updated PCC ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys,
As we don't have any topic specially for federal stage of quebec skilled worker program, I am starting this new one.
So ask as many questions as you can and answer as many as you can, NO LIMITS ;D
Please share your timelines for federal stage and lets eliminate curiosity of others.

For me I've recently got CSQ and will apply for federal as soon as I have all the documents.

Hi everyone

i would like to know from you all if it is possible to send all forms, medical exams and police certificates all at once (and also the proof of payment of the right of permanent resident fee) instead of waiting for them to be asked to be sent?? because if i send them all at once I think the processing time will be shorter than normal. or we do have to wait until they request them (medical exams and fee)?

Thanks...

Of course you can do that. In my case however, it didn't expedite the process at all.

How did you do the medical? Don't we need to have documents from the visa office?

You can do them but if it passes 6 months and they haven't processed your docs yet they will ask you to re-do them.
I think it's better to wait until they ask you. It doesn't take a long time to get the meds done and submit them.

Dear Experts,

It would be really so grateful if I can get your valuable feedback on my following concern.

I have got the CSQ on Sep' 2015 now preparing for the federal part. I was in USA since Nov, 2014 to Mar' 2016. I went there on a visit visa then applied for study on Apr' 2015 which got approved on Feb' 2016. My student status is supposed to commence on Apr' 2016 but I came back from USA on Mar' 2016. Therefore all through my status in USA was tourist & legal. Now my query is I can't mention all these in the application form.

Therefore, will it be good if I give a "Letter of Explanation" proactively regarding my stay in USA (along with copy of supporting documents) in my federal application. Or I will just simply follow the standard forms and mention my status in USA in the respective fields on the form.

Thanks for your kind advise & I really appreciate this group & all the members.

Yeah I'm still curious- Did anyone else pay RPRF after receiving a generic reminder email (for updated schedule A, RPRF, PCC, etc)? If so, how did you pay it? We weren't provided with an email so we paid it online and sent the receipt via the Case Specific Enquiry form on the CIC site. Is this okay?

Hey Vinc360,

I am glad I checked the forum a couple of days ago and read your post because I actually received this notification last night. However, mine wasnt an email. It was written as such, but they actually printed it and sent it to me by mail (I am currently in Canada after applying from abroad). I think it's more of a reminder as we are approaching the final part of the application, especially the validity of the passport. I actually have done everything that is mentioned in the letter. Thanks to the forum, I didnt freak out :o :o ;)
