Congrats you are a PR now..

I drove to the borders, took me around 45 minutes from montreal.
And then processing time with the canadian immigration officer was
very short. Not even 30 minutes. He will ask you which address you
want your PR card to go. Then I drove back home.

Just stay on the left lane when going to the borders, I stupidly stayed
on the right lane with the trucks. waited like 45 minutes.

anyway, looking at your profile its seems like you are almost done too.

Hi YoungKing
Did you have to cross the border and get 'denied' entry to US for your landing back into Canada?
Or you just turned around without going to US border?
Please advise
Thanks

Hello Friends,

I got my passport request! Thank Heavenly Father!

I have a questions, the Passport request letter doesn't require our photos, but I know some PPR letters they require photos, should I send them?

Hello friends,

It been more then 7 months since i sent my application & 5 since i received my AOR from CIO but yet no Medical no I know which visa office is processing my file, Some friends told me that i should wait until its 6 months since the AOR before contacting CIC (saying that contacting CIO early or often won't accelerate your application processing) and some suggested that I should contact as soon as possible (to confirm status of your file) .What should i do?

Also is there is any one left in this forum who apply last July and didn't received MR?

Thanks.

Also got a PPR today. But I didn't send the photos. The letter is clearly saying to send them 3 things:

STEP 2: PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS

1. Passport(s):

You must provide us with passports for you and for each accompanying family member. Your passport(s) must be valid for at least 6 months and have at least two blank pages. If a child is included on your passport, you must have one blank page per accompanying child.

Please note that Confirmation of Permanent Residence documents and permanent residence visas cannot be issued to holders of Diplomatic, Official or Military passports. You must have an ordinary passport.

2. One self-addressed, pre-paid envelope with your complete mailing address so that we can return your passport(s) and Confirmation of Permanent Residence documents. Please see details in step 3.

3. One copy of this letter.

They may request it from you when landing, so you better have the photos with you then, just in case.
Cheers
