same here Friska and Dan..I paid via debit too (BPI)..as long as the card entails and transact with merchants like Visa, Master Card or AE..and ofcourse with sufficient funds..lol..quebec response varies from as early as 2 months or beyond..likewise, its good to know if your card has been charged as the AOR will likely to follow..lol

Hi robinsonwalt and bosschips,

Hi! Im new here! I already submitted my application... Based on the online assessment on the quebec website, my spouse and i can pass...but i did not submit an ielts result... Sabi sakin ng immigration officer ko, baka hindi na required since i worked as a staff nurse in saudi arabia for almost 6 years... Ano sa tingin nyo?

Gaano katagal kaya ang processing? Any idea?

Thanks!

Hi there Ate Jen..the online evaluation from the website does not lead to a formal decision on immigration in Quebec, but it allows you to obtain an opinion on your candidature.. In order to gain points from the Language Factor using the points system, you need to submit official test results. You need official test results ONLY if you want to claim points for the language factor. And YES it is possible to meet the pass mark even without points from language factor. If you are seriously considering to live and work in Quebec, you must at least try to learn the French language. Quebec is pre-dominantly French speaking Canadian Province. Pero pasaway lng ako kasi hindi ako nag attach ng French exam..lol..only IELTS..

If you want to have a better chance of approval, submit IELTS test result. You need all the points you can get, unless of course if you just want to rely on luck. If you are a Filipino applicant whose primary language is neither English nor French and you think you don't need IELTS Examination for the Quebec Skilled Worker program, think again...

Processing times varies from file to file..but a complete one will surely avoid delays...lol

Thanks again!

You should have submitted a document that states that you did work on a tax free basis. I think it will affect you. Wait for your file number and follow up the documents asap.

Thanks bosschips! I might email my former employer for that...

I have gained employment too from the middle east Jennie..and yes we can never have an ITR from there..i thought of attaching an explanation letter however I felt its inappropriate...lol..that's my concern too before...Then I tried to read the taxation rules for overseas workers and I learned we are exempted in filing such, since incomes were derived from outside the Philippines..I just got a certificate of tax exemption from the BIR (Pasay) bearing my overseas contract and passport (i guess in this way, it will support our claim that we really worked overseas)..I have no idea if this is acceptable to quebec immigration...i hope they just knew that the region doesn't imposed tax for whatsoever goods or services..lol

What i plan to do is get a letter of explanation from my former employer... Hopefully they will understand my situation...

Re ielts, do you guys think its better for me to take the academic rather than the other one (i forgot what its called...lol)?

Its better if you follow robinswalt's advice. I've heard it works (based from Montreal Bound FB group (filipino group)). General training is the one you should take but there are people claiming that they accepted academic results.

My family used to live abroad kasi so they were asking for my police clearance and buti nalang that time I already have it... And they also asked new NBI Clearances kasi dapat not below 6 months kaso yung sa amin more than 6 months na kasi di kaagad napasa ng case manager ko yung application namin.
