Hello everyone, I've been reading this forum for quite some time, and I see that a lot of us are still waiting for AOR. As for me, I'm still waiting for my AOR since October 2013. I called Immigration Quebec and told me that my file has been opened since January 2014 but my bank draft has not been processed so they cannot issue an AOR. I wonder what's taking them solong to process bank drafts??

As far as I know, my specific bank lng kasi yun kung san nila mawiwidraw, baka iniipon muna yung mga bank draft na pwede nila mawidraw sa isang bank lang pra sabay sabay. pero good thing na nakakuha k din ng info na your papers has been opened na.

If you are really determined to work here, yes it is necessary to learn French. Not only for the interview but also for your future work. Now that I am here (Quebec), dito ko lang naintindihan na kailangan mo talaga magaral ng French if you want to get good paying jobs. In the first place if you are going to apply as a nurse, you will not be fully licensed if you don't pass the OQLF exam (Office quebecois de la langue francaise). Mas maraming job opportunities sa bilingual kesa sa english lang ang alam.

so kailangan pala talaga … may mga nag ooffer naman ng French lessons dito sa Phils?

Okay lang kaya kung dun na lang mag aral ng French kapag nasa Canada na?

^ hi maam.. the reason why some members here are already enrolled in french classes kahit na pasok na sila sa points eh para magamit nila yung certificate as 'pogi points' kumbaga.. makikita ng immigration officer na motivated ka to learn their language para successful yung immersion mo sa culture and way of life nila

Wow Congratz. . 3 kc kmi ngfile ng mga kaibigan ko. nareceived yung file niya Jan 7. so 3 mons na sa april 7. Gang ngayon di pa nachacharge ung credit card niya. Kami nmn Feb 11 nareceived yung file nmen at wla pdin charged sa credit card. Sana macharged na. hehe.

I asked MICC kung bakit ang tagal. 5 months nko ng aantay. Ang sagot sakin eh "thats normal" since 4-7 months daw ang waiting time. that means, until May pko mgaantay. nkakastress mgantay.
