Hi guys,

I would like to ask one more question regarding to AOR. Would BIQ also send confirmation of AOR by email, or only by post?

Thank you in advance.
By post usually.

Hello guys !!!

I think we can complain to the "Complaints Commissioner and the quality of services" for Quebec, in the following cases ......

IF...
- You are not satisfied with the Department.
- The information received does not seem clear, is incomplete or inadequate.
- If you have comments or suggestions to help us improve our services.

The Ministry is committed to quality. These commitments are contained in the Declaration of customer service.

you are right dear, this is the place where you can complain. I sent them an e-mail last week, they replied that they have forwarded my complain to the concerned dept. I hope that something happens now. If you have crossed 6 months waiting then surely go for it. It might be useful.

Hello quebec2011,

My file is just 5 months old so it's just not the right time for me to use that, but I just put that link for the senior members who has been waiting since long time to hear something about interview/interview waiver but still there is no news from the respective BIQ's or BIQ's replying them with inadequate answers or usual copy-paste answers. Also as in your case, I am sure that you will definitely hear good news within a week or so.(bcs. your complain will make BIQ officer's run over your file and give you some output ASAP,Most probably a Good News !!!). Bonne Chance.

I just hope this is the right place:

Most Dear Anyone-With-Information-and-Experience

I am 30 years old and married, I have a B.Sc. in Statistics, and an M.Sc. in Modelling and Management of Risk. I have about 18 months of work experience (2 part-time positions held concurrently – Credit Risk Analyst and Financial Consultant). My English is perfect and I meet the financial self sufficiency requirement. I am currently studying for a M.Sc. in Financial Mathematics. My wife is 31 and has a B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering and in 6 months she will obtain her M.Sc. degree. Her English level is at IELTS 6.0 and her French is at A1 (though she has not taken a exam). She also has two sisters living in Montreal QC, one of which is a permanent resident and the other has her CSQ.
I calculated that I will get 12 for “Level of Education”, 12 for “Area Training”, 4 for “Experience”, 16 for “Age”, 6 for “English”, 3 for “Family in Quebec” (through spouse’s sister), and 1 for “Financial Self Sufficiency”. My wife will get 3 for “Level of Education”, 3 for “Age”, and 1 for “Language Proficiency”. Altogether, it will be 61, So even without me knowing French we should get by, at least theoretically, as we would only need 2 points from adaptability.
PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG ANYWHERE ABOVE.
We submitted an application for Quebec Immigration – Skilled Worker programme about 3 months ago and on August 23rd we got our file number. I wanted to fill in the forms at level 2 for both listening and speaking which would have gotten us up to 63 points in which case we would not have needed any points from adaptability. At the time when we were filling in the forms, most of our friend and family told us that if we fill less than level 4 (listening and writing) we would not be accepted, therefore, against my own judgement and conscience, I marked the spots for LEVEL 4 which I assume correspond to level A2.
Now, my concern is that my schedule absolutely does not allow me to get to Level A2 in 6-9 months which I assume would be the expected time-frame before our interview. I have signed up for French classes at “Institut Français d’Ecosse”, which is tied to the Government of France and is the only decent institute in our city (Edinburgh – UK). But in 3 10-week terms (Oct to Dec, Jan to Mar, Apr to Jun) I would only get to finish level A1 at best.
Now, I am very worried and I do not know what to do. Should I inform the immigration authority of this change or not or is there anything at all that I can do? I do not want such a stupid thing to ruin our chances and our future. If you could kindly advice us on this matter, I would appreciate it a lot.

Thank You & Regards

Quebec Immigration - Work Experience

The Work Experience criterion is one of the ten criteria for which points are awarded under the Quebec Immigration selection system.

Up to 8 points are awarded under the Experience criterion of Quebec immigration. This criterion is absolutely essential. Unless at least 1 point is awarded under the Work Experience criterion, the application will be automatically refused.

Points Experience

0 point Less than 6 months
4 points 6 to 11 months
4 points 12 to 23 months
6 points 24 to 35 months
6 points 36 to 47 months
8 points 48 months and over
8 points Maximum

Notes:

* Work experience must have been accumulated during the five years preceding the application date.
* Work experience includes remunerated employment and internships, whether remunerated or not.
* As an exception, an international student who has received a diploma from a Quebec university or college (or will receive a diploma within 12 months of the application date) does not need to meet the six month work requirement and is automatically awarded 1 point under the Work Experience criterion.

HI sorry im just confused... so when I have 2 years and 4 months, I get 6 points?
And also I have a question because I had AWOL in my previous company where I worked as a nurse for 9 months... they told me they cannot give me a certificate,. would it be okay if I just ask the contract copy as well as the pay roll/ payslip and attach an explanation letter why I couldn't provide a certificate with the signature of the Hospital Director or Administrator? Thank you so much!

No, its not enough - I've attached 2 contact details, my bussiness card and few payslips with my application and they sent me missing docs form (perm 115 as far as i remember) requesting certificate of employment indicating duties, hours per week etc

Hi every one. Tks a lot for sharing realiable info.
I'm preparing my applycations for Quebec and wondering about payslip from my old company. For current one it's alright to submit contract, payslip & ref letter.
But when i worked for previous company due to it's private so they didn't sign a contract. In this case, i can only supply ref letter and resignation letter. Is that workable or i should ask for payslip?
This company is still existed but no more operations. Tks for your all advice.

I hv 1 more question abt letter of confirmation. This is basically included needed info to cfm our job duties. Or should our boss/manager writes some comments for our job performance for polish my case?
