Congrats!! How long was the interview? Was it all in French? Seems like many folks on the forum are learning French, so your experience will be helpful for us. Any tough/unexpected questions at the interview?

Congrats again!!

Québec folks know English and French language only. It's not a good idea to write in any other language.

Hi Everyone,

I am planing to apply for the CSQ at HK/Delhi. I am an Indian and live in delhi.

Please cross check whether i have calculated my point correctly or not?

Education (BSc Statistics 2002, MCA 2006 India) - 12 points
Training Points - 6 if Computer Science is considered, 12 if Statistics is considered. (If both then I guess it a dream)
Work experience (>5 years) - 8 points (Work in Trading Software R&D)
Age (30) - 16 points
Language proficiency - French - 0 points ( Will take DELF - A2/ B1 at max this Nov )
Language proficiency - English (Advanced) - 3+3 points (Tofel score >110 out of 120) Will take IELTS
Financial self sufficiency - 1 point
Spouse Education: PhD (2011) - 3 points
Spouse Age (30) - 3 points
Spouse French - 0 points
Child - 4 points

Total points 65 max if (12 training points are added) other wise 59 Points (6 training points).

Please review my points as I might be missing something or was very lenient.

Thanks in advance

Please please help me.

i guess i have to wait for the original certificate then,
thanks a lot for your help :)

Just as an advise. You should consider taking the TCFQ exam (it is easy and you get your result in 20 to 30 days). I took and passed DALF C1 in March, and I still have not received the certificate/diploma. Depending on the center it can take 6 months to a year.

I end up taking the TCFQ, should have my results this week.

well wrote the DELF A1 Exam, it was ok . TBH it was so easy , just praying that i get 16 points in each module, all the best for the people who are doing A2 tommarow

Hi Sameer,

After receiving the AOR, did you receive any other intimation from them? Even I had submitted my file in Aug 11 and received my AOR in Nov 11.. Checked with my consultants, they say it might go beyond a year. Do you have any idea?

Oh ok. I am also hoping to here something by this year end, and after that we again have to wait for a year or so to get the Visa.. OMG ! this is too long a procedure than expected...

I've read through much of this thread and have seen this question addressed a few times, but I've yet to see a concrete answer. I've seen it mentioned here and on the canadavisa website that a minimum of 6 months work experience is required to apply for this program. The Quebec Immigration website makes no mention of this and the evaluation on their site can be passed if you choose "less than 6 months" as the answer for how much work experience you have. If this were an automatic refusal, I'm sure the evaluation would be programmed to state that.

Let us be real.

If you pass the following test you can apply. It is hard to get done our own assessment.
http://www.form.services.micc.gouv.qc.ca/epi/index.jsp?languageCode=en

1. I think you can read at (http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/informations/applications-receipt.html)

If none of these situations applies to you, you cannot submit an application until after March 31, 2013.

KEEP U R Application ready send it in first lot in 2013, (I applied in Oct/Nov 2010 still waiting), A long way to go.

2. I took 2 years to learn French B1, you can crack A2 easily in at least 6 month( Provided you are committed). Today Go to alliance Francaise to check the exam dates, DELF Test happen 3-4 times in one year. You use library and resource in AF Delhi.

3. Rush (^-~) At least go through A1 in Oct/Nov, I am not sure there is any exam till 2013, if you miss in Nov.

Have a nice time ahead!

Cheers,
Kala
